Successor of the POD HD500, the POD HD500X features a more powerful DSP engine that allows for creating two full and independent amp and effect chains or simultaneously process two different signals coming from the guitar input and the aux or mic inputs.
Aesthetic changes included backlit color LD rings around the footswitches for a higher visibility in dark environments. These switches allow you to control up to 52 parameters in real time and drive the loop with 48 second loops. The expression pedal is still present and the internal memory can store up to 512 presets.
The POD HD500X features 30 HD amp models from several brands such as Marshall, Soldano, Mesa Boogie, Vox, Fender, Bogner… as well as 100 studio and stompbox effects.
The connection panel includes 1/4" guitar in, aux in and effect loop, 1/4" unbalanced outputs, headphone out and Pedal 2 out, XLR mic in with dedicated level control, balanced out and L6 Link, MIDI in and out, digital S/PDIF out, USB port and Variax port.
Estimated street price is $499.99. More details at line6.com/podhd500x/.
