«  A pleasant surprise .. »

Published on 06/23/13 at 03:31
Akai pedal custom shop, 100% analog.
Has 3 knobs (tone, speed and depth) + switch slow / fast acting on the overall speed of the effect and that fits precisely with the speed knob.
This effect is True Bypass, perceived quality is very good, this pedal exudes strength and quality assembly in its polished steel case.

UTILIZATION

The settings are easy, quickly found the sound you want so the manual is useless.
Even a novice will come out no problem.

SOUND QUALITY

I use this effect with a Gibson Les Paul with a pair of Emg 81/85, in effect my Hughes & Kettner 18 Tubemeister loop.
The sounds obtained are very convincing, and for trying different chorus that does not have to blush before the much more expensive models!
In addition, this pedal is very versatile, a well deep in the "come as you are" to the mythical intros Metallica chorus, everything goes at ease!
When I hate to sound with this pedal, I can not see!
It still sounds good ..

OVERALL OPINION

To sum up, a chorus in a rugged, really sounds convincing as modern in vintage analog and true bypass for a ridiculous price. I do not put the maximum score because there are always better, but in my opinion not in this price range ..
So you'll understand, try it!
