Simplistic departure. but I find that the level of rglage not prcis! times in the course of the potentiomtre sustain, it seems that nothing is changed and all of a sudden a big diffrence in ceremonial your exact!

for fans of funky casseroles is perfect clear sound!
Coupled by an overdrive against hot and shade is dcevant! crasis really all over and it was a phnomne power loss on some pretty hard CONTRL harmonics.

Effect caricature that lacks finesse terribly!

It's good to type sound Manir excessive and empty, not to help the addition of nuances in the sound!

Compressor sustainer is in the title. Pedals old school, analog.
FFECT volume: level General for compression
A CONTRL Sustain: the more one puts more we broaden the impact ... wholesale.
A CONTRL Attack can rgler level ... uh the attack, actually.

UTILIZATION

The config is minimal for a compressor, even a little too much. It sounds simple but it lacks a button Tone got me.

SOUND QUALITY

The effect is clear in his lectures. We almost feel best be ... However, with an overdrive, the effect brings too much "hair hair." I use this for three years and I'm pretty happy. A parat pedals that simple and great potential at first but goes extremely sharp s'avrer rgler if you want something cohrent ... Purchase all of the same good enough because of the personality of the effect, especially on clean sounds. A comparative test and APRS buy all the same.

Very easy to use, beginners must adapt or example it is a bit subtle when you do not know much but once understood and mastered it's candy

SOUND QUALITY

The sustain is trs effective attack gives a beautiful shape to your sound, it can be a good boost trs also a tube amp.
when you put a lot of sustain it dvoile your guitar in a different way each movement is dtailll everything sounds more, well I think the only person who does, not because apprcie that it make too many mistakes and he too heard their fake note. Ideal for rhythm as well.

OVERALL OPINION

I have 2 years, and I use a whole day, it's simple gives effective sound much richer a guitar. It compresses the Fawn wonderful rhythm it gives a lovely sustain the lead.
is a short pedals of choice. I would do the selection without a doubt. I tried MODEL custom shop that costs $ 250 like those of clapton, clapton and love, but the boss satisfies me more

As always, express and spend some time with rglages, we obtain not the same with sounds rsultats cleans or saturated.
Always place preferences distos before compression.

SOUND QUALITY

The exprience since lontemps taught me not to be abused with rglages, never push the pots back and work a little more in the subtle is still paying, this applies particularly rately the pedals.

Too much and the sound level is assigned to a distortion lgre forcment not enjoyable.
Too much sustain and train the breath, noise and feedback on distos, plus a cot a bit "spongy" sound of the attacks.

The button "attack" on him for the determination of time dclanchement compression:
compltement left (minimum time), and the attacks are mdiator compresses, bottom right (maximum time) is the reverse.
So if you want a relay by its powerful and long sustain, rgler the button on the maximum time.

What I like particulirement with CS2 is that it gives a scale, a round and a fluidity to the sound of single-coil pickups, and a renewed sustain / feedback on the larger saturation.

This is my Premire pedals, bought in 1981, and it works perfectly.

Boss made its second compact pedal edition to the compressor family in the 1981. This was the the update from the CS-1 which was a fantastic compression on its own. The CS-2 used a VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) rather than the photocouplers used by the CS-1. The VCA's speeds up the signal processing and makes the attack much faster than the CS-1.

This was a great pedal back in the day. There are many better pedals out in the market today that would eliminate the need of this pedal.

SOUND QUALITY

This second edition to the Boss compression family saw some needed update changes. The attack control knob replaced the mode switch from the Boss Cs-1. This allowed the user to dial in the needed response time the compression would be there. When using different sounds like clean and distortion this can be a handy tool.

This pedal is great with a nice delay and an Ibanez TS9 pedal. You really allow those delay repeats to jump out of your amp and into the mix very well with this compression pedal. These are just perfect for giving a little boost of clarity and volume and keeping things under control. It also allows you to get a better sustain from the tone of your amp and any effects that you have going on in your patches.

OVERALL OPINION

These pedals were discontinued long ago right about 1986. You can find them on the used market but I have no idea what the going rate for one of these can be. I would suggest picking up the Keeley compression pedal. Probably the most accurate and best compression pedal known in existence. This is a good pedal for tone but not for functionality anymore. Technology has now given us a boost in how these pedals operate.
