Analog delay pedal, 9V supply "standard".
An "Input", one "Output".
knobs: - "Delay", sets the delay time
- "Mix" sets the level of the effect compared to the untreated
- "Regen" sets the number of repetitions.
Note the presence of a switch "mod" that active modulation of repetition. She remains very discreet on mine, it seems that the internal trimpot can refine its settings ... I did not personally affected, all suited me very well in the state!
As usual with Mxr it seems solid and well assembled. Some miss a tap tempo, or a stereo output ... still need to know why is it that you buy this delay and not a more complete!
UTILIZATION
The configuration thus benefits from reduced number of settings: a very simple setup, this pedal sounds sent immediately rewarding. No need to manually make the most of, tampering with knobs, one after the other is the best way to find settings that suit us best!
SOUND QUALITY
This delay is very typical analog vintage, we are thus dealing with regard to repetition has a very dirty grain, almost deaf at times, the sound quality repetitions to diminishing progressively.
This delay will not please everyone, it does not take advantage of the latest developments in the materials handy as different modes or tap tempo: live, there is a well-defined position. We bought it because we love his character.
I use it personally plugged into my Fender Blues Junior. The amp produces a crunch and having no loops, delays some support badly saturation. No one, as long as we fine tune! I just activated for spatialized sound and it works flawlessly, although I would appreciate can be a bit more brilliance in sound reproduction ...
Please note, place the knob in and turn up to rehearsals one time gives rise to sound all the more crazy than the other ... A try, but be careful with your ears, and keep one hand on the knob to mix!
OVERALL OPINION
I use it now for 3 weeks. I needed a simple and warm delay need not fear the lack of an effects loop on an amp, and I found the Maxon, although excellent, is out of range (definitely too expensive) The value for money is quite honest, the delays are generally slightly more expensive than other distortions or modulations.
I think I would do this either with the experience!
