It's a digital delay by TC, but has the tone knob to replicate a more analog-ish delay sound as well. Stereo/mono ins and outs available also. Overall a very versatile piece of equipment! There's also the note section which chose what type of delay rhythm you get, eighth notes, dotted eighths etc.

UTILIZATION

I found this pedal to be quite versatile for each player's needs. If you want to tweak to get that perfect delay sound and bank it, you can, for up to 9 presets. Or if you just wanna plug it in, pick a delay, and tap the tempo or 'strum' the tempo like the new flashback delay you can do it as well. You can even specifically set the tempo at whatever ms thanks to the huge bright clear display.

My only beef with it is the adapter, yes it uses I think a 12V adapter of it's own so for those who have simple boards or don't like anything outside of 9v connections you have to sacrifice space on your board or an outlet or whatever it is to get this baby working right.



SOUND QUALITY

I think nearly everybody can agree that TC stuff almost always sounds great. The only thing one ever has to worry about with TC stuff is if the features suit their needs or not. In my case I think it's a great pedal and does more than suit my needs. I've actually considered 'downgrading' to the flashback for it's more compact size.

But yes you can get that classic TC crystal clear delay sound from the nova delay and it sounds great!

OVERALL OPINION

I like this pedal a lot. I was comparing this to the DD-20 and even though they were both quite similar, I ended up with the nova delay and don't regret it. The delays sound great, and you can do any delay-related with the nova delay. Again my only beef is the 12v adapter that can be a bit of a buzzkill for some who's built their perfect board to the exact specs with the exact spacing for every adapter and/or pedal etc.

My board is personally getting bigger and bigger. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing..

For the characteristics of the opinion Enix49 below is pertient and sums up what this pedal can do. The excellent dynamic delay is something special that does not exist anywhere else: as you play rehearsals are discreet, they become predominant when you play less or you stop playing.
Side effects, I really regret three things:
- The maximum delay time is really short. 2200 ms does nothing to make Frippertronics.
- There is no sampler. There is a bit abused, gentlemen in TC not to propose a pedal at that price, or a long delay time (see Hardwire DL8) or a fun sampler (see EHX memory man hazarai)
- The delay time can be adjusted with a knob weird: it shortens or extension more or less depending on whether the delay time is more or less turned to the right or the left. So that the delay does not generate NO click when you change the delay time. it is nice when a period is used to make the wise wisely music by sample against which to me all the time clicks generated by sudden changes in delay time on digital delays well it bothers me.
The knobs are a bit soft and fragile in intensive use. I am a quiet but I've seen this pedal used by demons that ruined the knobs in a relatively short time. Always the same at this price is a bit abused.
The construction of the pedal is impeccable. The switches are silent and I never had a problem with.

UTILIZATION

The configuration is intuitive, well thought out and very convenient to use.
The manual is well done, says the few somewhat hidden functions including spillover and adjusting the input volume for the dynamic delay.
The tap tempo is not very accurate or easy to use, but it may be because I am using this function almost no then I have trouble with.
You can store presets, that's good, it's not very convenient to remind the fly, that's worse. I am not using this feature.

SOUND QUALITY

The present effects are very very good. As everyone says, the sound quality is really THE highlight of this pedal.
A real special mention for the ability to emulate a delay-type analog bucket brigade: color knob on analog, delay time to 250 ms, 100% feedback and HOPLA it self-oscillates and can even go to 100% feedback which opens bordélistiques of remarkable opportunities.
For emulating tape delay, but less excellent as close to a real one.
Reverse delay with feedback over 100% and 100% level mix that gives samplable and workable room puree the environment: Magic.
Pan delay / ping pong delay for me playing in stereo: a treat.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had about 4 months, I use quite, it replaces my very advantageously delay Joyo. In my current config I have two samplers and two delays and this one really complete my memory man hazarai. It self-oscillates very well. He can be very filthy and very clean. It has lots of interesting for us noisy functions.
It has two major flaws: short delay and no sampler.
For me it can not be my main delay and I think for the price TC can do much better - I had an interesting exchange on but I would not have bought the price that is used . But hey I'm not the usual user of this kind of pedal either.

I own version "IB modified"

several types of delays are available, my favorites are the "delay line" and "reverse", I do not really understand the usefulness of the "dynamic" and enjoy the "ping pong" and "pan" it takes a stereo amplifier .
You can save and recall 9 presets in memory, which is enough for a "normal" use

UTILIZATION

Operation is simple, but it should read the manual carefully because some settings are not obvious.

In live situation, changing presets foot is not easy, you must prepare in advance the preset you need, or else provide a mod that allows you to easily change presets (external pedal).

In addition, on mine there is a problem with the switch, sometimes they still activated, which is VERY annoying if we live in the middle of a song ...

LA Tap Tempo function works very well.

I put 6 because of the problem with the switch.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality is excellent.
Small delay of almost imperceptible in its hyperspace, you can do anything.

All the delays are great.
I found a great setting is to use the pedal to color your sound clean: with a 1 ms delay playing with the modulation (3 types) and the level of effect: with a little reverb the result is magnificent.

The reverse is also great, with the tap tempo function, try an arpeggio, the psychedelic rock!

Breath ZERO, ZERO signal loss in the effects loop of my amp.

OVERALL OPINION

A bit expensive to buy.
But after fiddled a bit with the settings, it is quickly rewarded. This is a quality pedal PRO.
If you love the look and effects pedal delay that can do everything, it is the nova delay you.

6 different types of delay including the excellent legacy of Dynamic Delay TC 2290.
9 memories, enough for everyday use. No MIDI or USB, it could have added a little more enjoyable for some.
True stereo and true bypass, not to mention the spillover.
Pedal that exudes strength, to see in time. Having owned a rack G Major, the sound quality was great but the finish and durability and a really dismal Nova System (same range as the Nova Delay) both solid and reliable, only time will confirm that quality for the Nova Delay.
Good point, the audio tap (tap tempo set that detected from the rhythm played on the guitar).

UTILIZATION

Simple configuration but you must read the manual to access certain functions. It should also be adjusting well to calibrate the level sound, especially for having a superb rendering with Dynamic delay.

SOUND QUALITY

His side it's clean, good and effective. no complaints. The settings are responsive and accurate. The colors are perfect analog and digital tape emulation and gives a little dirty side to a clean amp too.
There is clearly a quality studio type / rack version mas pedal. I find that most successful of her peers at Boss or Line 6 and for a much finer.
Dynamic Delay and then it is a real hit, I can not do without. Having used a TC 2290, we find the same feel and sound the same. This pedal is a version of this legend.
No breath no latency to attack, short accurate, efficient, pro.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it but recently I owned a Nova System which is found on the main part Delay characteristics present here. Nevertheless, the Nova Delay is more complete and rapid editable for those who only need the delay, which is my case.
In short a delay pro quality and equally at home live in the studio. Apparently solid construction and ergonomic. Superior from my point of view of competition (even some racks). Only the Eventide Time Factor outperforms the just but for a much higher price.
A good choice for those seeking a delay quality and easy to use.
A price a little high but in a correct relationship in light of competition.
