SOUND QUALITY

I use it with a Wasburn WI66 PRO BUGERA and V55. It works very well even if the sound is just my taste synthetic. But I think it's the Boss in PB

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost 2 years and I'm happy, especially considering the price and it is. I do it again the choice of this pdale, even if it does not yet have the distortion of my dreams (I'm looking for yet)!

Back in 2001 Boss set out to build a pedal that would entice low tuning and seven string players to the Boss distortion pedals. there has been this constant need for more distortion as music has changed. Me I find it silly to have that much distortion since you can't even hear the nuances of the playing anymore. But when you are playing the basically on two string and that first string is lowered to A# then I guess you don't care about dynamics and nuances. SO anyway Boss designed a pedal that would cater to the guy who need a ton of unusable but I suppose usable in their type of music.

SOUND QUALITY

First off since this thing has so much gain on tap that there comes a lot of noise. This pedal can be very noisy when you turn those double gain control knobs up pretty high. This pedal rally emphasizes the low end for the dropped tuning guys. There is even a control knob that effects the low end of the pedal.

The tone of this thing is very heavy. It get s load of distortion, but to me it is way too much and very noisy. It kind of bugs me how much noise is in this pedal. You will definitely have to have a noise gate or some kind of noise hum eliminator.

OVERALL OPINION

You can find these pedals new for right at around $89, which isn't a lot of money for a double distortion pedal. This pedal have more than enough gain for anyone to use in pretty much any situation. Some guys though will boost this pedal or the their rig even more because for some there is never enough gain.

High sensitivity, wide range of possible sound.

SOUND QUALITY

Pedal dedicated to his big, hard or heavy, but not too big metal riffs in fact more for solos.
Depending on the setting you get a great blues sound with more gain overdrive.
With the gain in depth and appropriate settings gives the sound of heavy 80's.
I is not found a good setting for his death or trash, it's actually not the purpose of the pedal.

The hardcore metalheads prefer the MT2, the more dark.

I think this pedal is mainly for soloists, indeed with the boost, among other things thoroughly, we get a sound sick, very powerful, very rich and high quality microphones will gush of harmonic and a feedback loop to the will with incredible sustain. While remaining pleasant to hear, like the sound is aggressive but takes guts to summarize.

I use a lag roxanne mahogany with micro seymour duncan SH15 Alternative 8 in bridge and a hot rail in the heats.
I currently use a peavey bandit, a good amp 100w midrange transistor.
The SH15 uses an Alnico 8, with lots of gain. Well, the MD2 sends the puree with the gain 3 / 4 and boost the bottom is a killer.
Very nice sound in the neck position, endless sustain.

Verdict on the sound quality: its very aggressive if gain and boost bottom, not too mushy on the bass playing a bit cold though. But really unbelievable for a solo sound heavy.

OVERALL OPINION

Very good effects pedal, robust and quality. Simple to use, just not be easy to find the right settings but the game ..

Its side, it does, a little cold and it's still on it sounds "digital", especially without amp lamp.
I think this pedal gives best with alnico humbucker type rather than ceramic because its too cold.
Not to play the big trash and other extreme styles, but rather for powerful riffs and solos especially, there is the feast.

I give a 8 to overall because I'm still a little bit about my hunger with my amp more md2 bandit. No doubt if I still had my marshall jcm it would be different!

But it's worth it anyway !!!!!

SOUND QUALITY

sonort this pedal can reproduce the effects of the greatest.
I use a jackson dkmgt udtape 2006 the sound is not very large metal are insured but still versatile.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months I tried to pedal mass before aquérir.
I love to have his property has she and her versatility in playing style from blues to metal. Exellent value for money for 90 € you were a jewel.
