« Practice for preprod metalcore »
Published on 11/06/11 at 07:36It's a distortion pedal, we saw the name is in fact more closely related in sound to all kind of metal that end with a core.
The technology is analog.
The edition is the simplest, it is no worse: no brainer.
The connection is simple:
- Jack Audio In / Out Jack
- Power supply: battery or mains (adapter 9V)
The model is in the form of pedal.
UTILIZATION
Very simple configuration, no need for manual, there is the sound that matches the type very quickly.
Manuel not even open to the views of the simplicity of the beast.
SOUND QUALITY
For the metalcore / deathcore / grindcore, you have a pedal that will delight you, the sound is really well suited to this kind of style I think. If you are looking for something else, I think you'll be disappointed, it's a distortion that is not very versatile, but it's not what I wanted.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a year now, finally, in great part, because I'm not a guitarist, but I had the opportunity to buy this pedal at a very low price, I jumped on it, and the advantage is that I can always have something to plug my scratch when they have problems with their stuff.
I have not personally tested other things, except in software, and there it is above.
I use this pedal to make preprod, let me explain: I passed the guitar to the pedal, then I plug the pedal directly to the line input of the soundcard.
In case there is the sound is very raw and quite unpleasant to listen, to get, I go into my recording software / mixer (DAW) for a plug-in HP simulation of guitar amplifier.
I tested a lot of guitar amp modeling, but none sounds as good as this pedal (no idea why not make it), by against the combination pedal ML2 + HP guitar is the ultimate simulation, I sound phew preprod for all guitarists I recorded in 2 2 were on the ass.
In short, to save plug and play solution is ideal for the metalcore.
When I want to record over itself again, I leave my microphones and amplifiers for guitarists, but it takes a lot of time in installing, positioning, and a lot of headaches.
While there, it's just too easy!
Yes, I would do if I have choices to make preprod for my group or a big need, for now I still think that this pedal I will have some time!
