Excellent
This is a distortion pedal.
The case is metal, the battery compartment accessible through a hatch.
9v power supply jack of course.
UTILIZATION
Simple:
1 knob gain
Knob a double bass / treble
Level 1 knob
The pedal has a true bypass. This is especially notable in this price range. It can not color the sound when the pedal is not in service.
SOUND QUALITY
Frankly at that price, you must have it!
I will not dwell on comparisons which are always subjective.
This is a distortion that makes the sound like Marshall, rather placed in the treble / upper midrange. That said double knob Bass / Treble can effectively adjust the ends of the spectrum.
The output level can be quite high and acting on the gain, we can use this pedal as an overdrive.
She will not have the color of OCD or a TS9 creamier but it gives even more value for the price.
As for the distortion, it suits me perfectly and frankly to be compared to other pedals in my possession that is worth more than 5 times the price it did not even blush color.
From everything I tried I would say to give a rough idea that it is as effective as a Boss DS1 with more body, almost as effective as a Virtual Sound Jekyll & Hide with less body.
If I do that 8 is that for me is a real distortion of an amp lights cranked. That is impossible to have in rehearsal or even if one takes into his ears.
OVERALL OPINION
This pedal at this price any guitarist should have one on the elbow, if need to send a big distortion riff or solo a little guts.
For my part I use mainly OverDrive and I needed to inflate my sound distortion on some solo or for occasions that require something more muscular without having to put the tube amp out of 5.
I am very satisfied, and yet as stated above I compared it with stuff to 150-200 €. Ok, well we will listen to perhaps less transparency, e fidelity, body or whatever, now in the mix with the group that grows behind will see the difference ... It's an interesting challenge.
Go € 35 new on the net. Enjoy it while they are still and I would advise you to buy the whole range coolcat. I have 5 to date, they are all too well made and equally effective as each other, and equally cheap. My word it can not last! To be absolutely
