Bought it on musicians friend for $89.99 (US)

This thing is extremely powerful. It can deliver a huge amount of distortion, even on clean amp settings. The morph knob is great, you can get a large range of metal/punk tones. It is ideal for death metal, good for Metallica-style metal, and fair for Greenday-style punk (if you feel like wasting your time on that). If you are in to palm muting, than this is the pedal for you. It isn't too versatile because it has no gain knob, but it is called a "Metal Master" for good reason. Most of the components of the pedal are made of metal and it appears to be extremely durable.

First of all, this thing eats batteries like a fat kid eats cake. So I recommend buying the adapter. It can also be fairly noisy at higher volumes, especially if the morph knob is in a certain position. Power chords sound great on this thing, but sometimes you have to mute it slightly to keep the sound from mushing together when you are playing individual strings. You have to turn the volume knob on your guitar down a lot to keep from hearing your fingers sliding on the strings etc. This means that when you turn the effects off you can't hear yourself playing until you turn the volume on the guitar back up. It also has incredible sustain capabilities when the volume on the guitar is turned up. This can be extremely annoying, but can sometimes be used to your advantage.
This final problem completely cancels out anything good that can come from this pedal, IT DOESN'T WORK!

The pedal is made up of almost all metal, but by the my second day of owning it, it had ceased to function. I didn't drop it or anything, it just started randomly shutting off and then flickering back on and then shutting off again. I am currently in the process of returning it or exchanging it.

This would have been an awesome pedal if it had worked for more than a day. If you need a heavy metal distortion pedal, than go ahead and take a chance on this one. Make sure you register it because there is a good chance that you will need to return it. Since there is warranty on it, you really aren't risking much. If you are one of the lucky few that get a working pedal, you will be very happy with it.

I bought the pedal off of Music123.com and I paid $94.94..The shipping was $4.95 so the actual cost was $89.95 or so. I got this pedal because I was loving all my new guitars and everything but my old distortion just wasn't cutting it for the music I play. I wanted a total thrash, death, melodic sound and you can achieve all three with this thing.

The main thing I like about this pedal is you can get basically any sound you desire. It has thrash, death, black, melodic, hell...even Nu-Metal if that's what you want. It has such a wide variety of sound that it'll replace all of those multi- fx processors you have laying around.

hmm...My dislikes are...umm...? I'll have to get back to you on that one. I need to find some first...

It's totally reliable. It's around 1.3 Ibs. so you don't want to drop it on your foot or anything, you'd only end up damaging yourself. I haven't had any trouble with wire connections, defective equipment, loud humming, static or feedback... So it's very reliable...

It's great for metal. If you want to play metal, you'll probably already have this or have already ordered it. Get this thing, you won't regret it. I can't wait to gig with this thing!

I bought my pedal at guitar center(gasp). I WAS going there to buy a metal zone but the salesmen worked his stuff and i walked out of there with this pedal. It was the same price as the MZ $89.99 so i thought what the heck ill try something new.

Its awesome for the every day metalhead. It gives you a wide range of metal dis. you can dial in. Its perfect for stuff like Pantera/Metalica and maybe even some punk er i mean pop rock songs(cough Blink 182). If you need a good heavy dis. pic up this pedal.

Well.............hmmmmmmmmmmmm it would be nice if i could get a bluesy sound out of it but thats just me being over critical. There is not much i do not like about this pedal i just need to get myself a TS-9 fill that blues dis. gap.

You could toss this thing down i flight of stairs and it would still work. Like most pedals of its kind its built like a tank and i dont see it breaking any time in the future.

Ok the bottem line is that this thing is good for metal bad for blues(duh). Its made realy realy well and if you are looking for a good metal pedal you cant go wrong.

Clear metal type distortion, better not too nice to want to play (like rock) to be at risk of

4 knobs:
-1 Level -> What The volume lol
-1 Hi -> The rglage treble (nan srieux?)
-1 Bass -> The rglage bass (waaaaaaaaah)
-1 Morph -> then the person I find this very interesting thing, it changes the "face" (or color, I would not know what term to use) the distortion quite significantly, precise (its a knob and not a switch, like on a DS2 for example).

There's lessentiel, morph button is original and especially it is useful (not like the stuff that some manufacturers rajoutent the pedal to distinguish themselves from the competition, and ultimately useless)

UTILIZATION

Bon ca is quite simple, I even tend to say more than a simple MT2 equalizeur seen that is smaller, there are sounds interesting pretty quickly.
Otherwise it is classic.

SOUND QUALITY

Well, tests on the clean channel of a Peavey Classic, a high-volume, is a small breath but it's still really lightweight compared to the volume.

Otherwise we can say that this PDAL has a range of sounds INTERESTED forcment not super tight, but the metallic enough to find their happiness without seeking rglage for hours.

Pass the 3 / 4 on the low, it begins to send a lot of really low so ca cest INTERESTED also for those who love

Morph the way to the right, the bass and treble fairly high and the level, by blocking the palm mute the strings run level, and one begins to scratch Pantera

Finally I find it quite versatile and good quality long as one remains in the metal sound

It is a good pedal overall, good value qualitprix (y 'value for money), and fairly simple rule that stands out the button and allows dobtenir morph sounds DIFFERENT for distortion.

A distortion pedals for heavy metal numrique, well hard, but up more sounds "nice" for rock.
Between one and two outputs (one MIX which also play with two amps in Stereo).
Powered by 9V battery or transformer (recommended) is a real bouffeuse batteries in use full rgime!
9 / 10 due to consumer lctrique.

UTILIZATION

Setup could not be more simple, four potentiomtres:
- Level RULES that the output level (volume).
- Low for the low frequencies.
- Hi for high.
- Morph that can change the "color" the sound.
The manual is comprehensive and provides examples of configurations, but there are all fawn quickly the sound you want, as the use is simple.

SOUND QUALITY

Trsralistes effects and gives an easy trs big sound (fairly typical heavy metal).
The Morph knob that really adds pedals, and we feel the Difference just by moving lgremment.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for two weeks, I like the stability of the pedals (weight heavy enough).
I have not tried other models in this CATEGORY before you buy and with the exprience, I'll try before.
A little pricey, but worth it.

Distortion pedals metal. In mtal, it is quite versatile (from hard rock to death metal) but do not bother to buy it to play the small rock and grunge. It possde several knobs: volume, bass, treble and morph. There is no knob for rgler distortion because, in principle, it is at maximum. The morph knob can be very useful, it gives a kind of grain to allow the pedals to play hard rock to death metal. She rated $ 130 Can. I put 9 / 10 because the distortion is not adjustable.

UTILIZATION

It is very simple to use (in any case, it is better in this respect that the Boss MT-2). You can look in the manual to try to reproduce the configuration of pedals conccurents, whether the Boss MT-2, the Dod Death Metal or other pedals. The rglage is easy enough for a lightweight up his mtal sound with big bass. Here, I put 10/10 because its use is extremely simple.

SOUND QUALITY

It's a good little pedals, not CHRE. For cons, I'm sure there are better but not in the same price range. It's breath (unless some pedals, but even when it has). I use it on a transistor amp, so I'm sr it is not in top performance. I have used with several guitars (Fender, Ibanez, BC Rich, Stagg) and the sound does not change much, it's good. I tested it with two Fender amps, a transistor and the other lights, it sounds better with it but it is all lamps of the same good with the trs transistors. I find it much more hard than the HM-2 and MT-2 Boss. For mtal is THE pedals in this price range that I recommend. I know it's here that the fate of the pedals themselves shall decide, but I put 9 / 10 because of the breath.

OVERALL OPINION

I used 6 months. I love the morph knob that lets you change the sound. on the other hand, even testing the clean channel of my Fender, it's breath (actually worse on the channel distortion). I tried the Boss MT-2, Digitech Death Metal, the Boss MZ-2, Boss HM-2 and Boss MD-2. Personally, I have the Digitech Metal Master prfr. I think the report is good qualitprix. I paid $ 130 CAN. Good pedals for the metal, is the best! I sold $ 80 CAN and I sold all my other pedals distortion / overdrive to make a Boss OD-20 (more versatile) that I would not have to do ... The Boss OD-20 is much more versatile, but mtal, no doubt the Digitech Metal Master dchire 100 times!

A good distortion pedals like mtal from heavy to death. She is able to imitate several pedals (including Boss MT-2, Digitech Death Metal). 4 knobs: volume, bass, treble and MORPH (see .....). The area is not sold. It is better not to use batteries as it consumes a max.

UTILIZATION

The grip is super fast. But it takes a lot to turn the buttons on the pedals and the amp to find the sound you want. Too bad because there is no gain CONTRL, but MORPH button changes the "face" of the distortion ds one to touch and to explore all the sounds of metal. The manual is nothing ..... Use your brain!

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is good, if you want big sound, it's the right thing. This is idalie PDAL for riffs in palm-mute the low E well dsacord or two strings! It reminds the good death metal. Otherwise it is also a heavier mtal see same no. Check out the site for Digitech Listen to sound clips.

OVERALL OPINION

I have since November 2005. I have opportunity to buy 60. What I like most is his big powerful trs. As against it consumes a lot: Buy a sector or rechargeable batteries. I parked in any case it is better than the MT-2 Boss! If you hsitez, choose Digitech!

SOUND QUALITY

Moving to this small APRS ITS prsentation succinctly the bte!

- Well what to say except that it is simply HUGE! We do not ask him to jazz, big sound while ahead! Warning ears!

So the big sound in perspective trs, prs dcoller tapestry! Superb!

OVERALL OPINION

- I use the pedals recently prs one month, and I am fully satisfied! A used without problem in BPS or concert!

- I note all of the same two tiny default, which are not really actually!

Premire, one might regret the absence of the Gain knob to rgler it. Indeed, the gain is up to the original pedals, and is not contrlable. Anyway, since it's size for the metal, we do not really need ...
Deuximement is a vritable bouffeuse batteries! 3 or 4 hours enough you empty your 9 volts! The acquisition of the AC adapter is recommended!

- The PDAL is a butcher vritable sound for every ear mtallique! A great opportunist of the accder big sound for not so expensive. It's good stuff, solid and reliable! For me, it is far better than the Metal Zone!

Distortion trs bourrine more in the vein that pantera slayer (even if it is available as a) in terms of sound. mule trs output is good to register.

it would be great in a "big sound nomtal with an amp or 15W 30"

UTILIZATION

The sound is pretty hard to find the pots are trs trs effective and should be prcis
when you have the sound goes, is better not to touch the pedals ... sound standards are accessible, no one spends all the death and black. the heavy ncessite too mdiums

I do not like is the V-Scoop is impossible without a user of rglage mdiums and especially the distortion all the time at max ... can not be used to boost the distortion of an amplifier in the sound dig a little (or even in boosting the mdiums).

The sound is pretty good if you like the sound has no pais (gniale is in drop C). it compensates for the lack of great potato in my squier but do not meet all of the sound of my Ibanez RG ... it works even better with the Squier!

OVERALL OPINION

6 months.
with the exprience I would take a less distortion buggers with a gain knob and mdiums paramtriques but no longer the same price ... like the Rocktron silverdragon but for beginners it can be especially nice secondhand one can have a half price!

UTILIZATION

- Ds that I buy, first thing I plug ... then I felt rotten all my little amp ... resucitait ultra simpel to use and you can easily find its sound

- Well at first I try the presets that are included with the manual as it's my lil first pedal I was not sure how to do it ... but normally it is not necessary

SOUND QUALITY

- I immediately understood that it was up to its name, it is very little synthetic (for what I play until now, it is mieur a Boss MT-2)

- I used it with an amp 8w pti any month ... well even on this thing she liked. otherwise now I use it with a Hartke Piggy Back (very good by the way) and nivo scratches, a small guitar ben jai rotten almost unknown a trade mark (starsun) but the sounds still ok.

- I like his sharp enough but not too much ben and this pedal suits me perfectly

UTILIZATION

- From the beginning, like most digital effects, we forget the use of battery that can dpanner occasionally but do not do a set without an AC adapter or even a bit long rpt .
- 4 potentiomtres, rglage no gain, we do not care to make it mtal, no rglage of mdiums. This last point ncessite sometimes correct the legalization amp. It is a apprcierait rglage paramrique of mediums in the first quarter of the race morph knob.
- The manual is clear and gives trs Ides of small sounds (in the book pub for all x-series) to better identify diffrent What are the positions of the morph.

SOUND QUALITY

A PDAL which is aptly named. Difficult to play with something else but is it really a default to be a typical effect when it has done its rle? No rglage gain but it's perfectly back to give a massive impression, with good compression but without becoming rough in rhythm. With good double windings, it has a sound standard and there is a good range of sonoritsmtalliques: Judas Priest, Dream Theater, Symphony X, Disturbed, Pantera, Megadeth, Obituary etc ... DIFFERENT mtal styles are possible, provided always seek sound quite "modern." Fans of 70's hard then pass their way. I use it with diffrent guitars (ESP, Washburn, Ibanez) with satisfaction as long as they are double coils. The background noise is low for a gain trs lev also no need for noise gate.
The bypass is not a MODEL of gender and clean sounds are a little dry.
It is idalie to harden the sound of a combo-type vintage lamps. It dcoller my Peavey Classic 30. A transistor amplifier has become colder (especially without lamp pramp) but it has been worse at Boss, for example. The simulation output with hp attack works well for a mixer for example and without amp in case of force majeure or make a record layout. The sound is amazingly solid with nice bass (for a small digital pedals). However the output of the DF-7 is much bluffing.

OVERALL OPINION

A must in this price range for the technology numrique. There are better with lights but this is not the same price. A possder in its arsenal if you're a fan of the heavy mtal to death, if one has a proper amp available.

Distortion pedal for high gain heavy metal and its derivatives (as the name suggests).
It comes without power.

UTILIZATION

Very easy to use.
You can find easily a good sound thanks to those listed in the booklet provided dan advertising box.



SOUND QUALITY

Used with an ibanez rg 370 dx

Apart from positions 1 and 4 or I find the sound muffled and not really enough just to make use of feedback and its style AC / DC, it will suit any style of thrash metal band Slayer to death through the to Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, or the Black Metal Mayhem.

By 5 o'clock position it looks like version of Slayer "South of Heaven" or Seasons in the Abyss "
Position is 6.7 hours instead of the death metal Deicide, Cannibal Corpse or Slayer, then "Reign In Blood"
By turning the volume pot still sounds Morph was really cut out for low tunings neo. It makes me think furiously to the grain of "Ride The Lighting" by Metallica.

The pedal does not have knob settings of mediums, he must think out the set on his amp.

A small overdrive pedal will not hurt either to boost the metal master sustain and improve your and your palm-mute.



OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost two years now.

I tried 2 other 3 pedals but they all sounded loud in my amp (line 6 spider)
(Boss-Metal Zone ...)

Really good stuff I will ever experience with this choice I think.

Distortion pedal can go from heavy metal to metal more moderne.un level, a button for a button to lower the treble, and the morph button which toggles the sound was heavy metal sound &%&%& %% & easy to use, no need to read the manual

UTILIZATION

yes it is realistic I personally would add a compressor because I find the
its a bit dry for us to play from the 2nd to the 6th string but my avis.UTILISER WITH JET LAG rises left 100 SEYMOUR DUNCAN TB6 and an amp VOX VT 100; I prefer the morph at noon on the other hand I thoroughly dislike too

2 semaines.J 've already had another model of mt2, but look at the metal master it does not poids.Payer 107 euros is reasonable . yes I would do without hesitation that choice
