Guyatone Metal Monster's first name, after 80 years

It's a distortion pedal "tube", as usual, one wonders, it serves a purpose, or that's the style?? Connecting it is weird in any case (one anode and other related zarberies), the signal passes definitely in, and in principle I would say it is just to make clipping typical lamps, no impact on the gain or the grain itself. To be confirmed.

Level settings:

A knob of gain (distortion), a level (level ...), a 3 band EQ High, Middle and low, with the concentric knob to select the mid range of action of this (very effective).

What distinguishes the current, the decor like spandex futal 80 years of course, but also in the power supply 9v, 12v cons for the MM-x now. There's there maybe slight difference in the circuit too, but I'm not new to check under the nose.

Point bizarre, 9v power supply in, but external forces, no space for a battery.

UTILIZATION

Bah, it's a stomp box, no need to be an engineer, when we understood how the Equal and we have sharpened the leaves it is done alone.

The case is solid and could teach the EHX, RAS, you can kick in, it fears nothing.

SOUND QUALITY

So, I must admit, great quality. I took this to replace my disto EHX Metal Muff (stranded and irreparable, thank you for the CMS, it is penny wise and pound foolish in maintenent EHX), and I won, thanks to the Equal very efficient, we obtain any kind of saturation, the most ugly, garish acid (type Metal Zone, Death Metal and co ... y'en who like: beark:), the softer and airy (DS-1) with all the panel between the two.

My house is just a thick distortion cut into med down, not too much gain (she has it in spades), exactly the type of distos I got my Metal Muff with a bit more airy.

OVERALL OPINION

Look a bit kitsch, settings and effective broad sonic palette is a very good investment, for you will find no cons at all street corners, but if the new version retains that quality was the all good
