Description Manufacturer
Powerful analog distortion even at low volume and can boost the signal up to 59 dB.
The DS-830 is designed to act as a versatile distortion with high sound pressure powerful bass at any volume. With the DS-830, even the smallest transistor amplifiers can have the presence of a full stack, and a stack will complete a formidable weapon.
There is no real secret to massive grain of the DS-830, just gain a lot of gain. It can provide a boost of 59dB that will work as much as to saturate an amplifier to mute the first 5 rows of a crowd.
Settings will give a serious od fat and fat-specific 6L6 attacks.
With so much power, the sound of your guitar could easily end up buried under the sound of the effect. The DS-830 prevents this from happening thanks to its specially tuned tone circuit. While most distortion pedals adopt induction coils and capacitors in their ordinary channels, the DS-830 uses a transistor (2SC1815 Toshiba #) as a simulated inductor in place of the standard coil. This ingenious component substitution helps make the circuit of the DS-830 smaller and quieter than other pedals. It also helps to fine tune the bass punch and whether they are tight.
UTILIZATION
Use child.
59 db of boost with the volume, gain rises gradually.
The EQ corrects sharply acute low + sound.
The switch is true bypass.
SOUND QUALITY
Disto disto vintage but still, not overdrive.
Big sound, full, a typical grain, dense, powerful. Marshalien but rather more accurate.
If you want great bass, treble pests and never garish.
Whistling harmonics come out very easily.
OVERALL OPINION
I have 3 years.
It is very well but I decided to sell it to devote myself to the sounds of overdrive, it does not serve me more.
I Esay lot of models with distos maxon tube that sound hot but more messy.
Here the grain is clear and sharp.
The price / quality ratio is good.
