OVERALL OPINION

I have a 1986 + Rat + Dirty Deucetone + Solo + 2 + Brat Roadkill
I like the sound of these pedals, certainly there are some sound diffrence
subtle, on the basis Schma is substantially the same, we like "The Rat"

yes the case of the Brat is a bit "lightweight", only cots are mtal, the top is pink plastic, so there is no LED tmoin, yes it 's there is no control for a power supply, but as a rat consumes 2 times less than a TS9 not too teacher,

The BRAT is a RAT with a pink and trs big win, so a distortion guitar pedals.

SOUND QUALITY

This distortion is inevitable: trs heavy distortion, dynamic violent: a lot of attack ... Good
Gain standard knob tona of effective volume and trs. It dates from 1994-1996 I believe, and we feel the sounds of Seattle. But not limited to grunge or punk (it is for a top that said). It complies with the sound of scratching and even with the maximum distortion hyper-dribbling, the notes are Dfine, the rhythmic super brands ... I'm sure lots of soloists could use it just for their big solos (as many do with the RAT by the way). Bluesmen of the same or dese jazzeux could fall in love. Personal BRAT I use for my rhythmic Ricken 480 to model. With this, the pedals and a guitar that has good mdiums & treble, a track is enough to fill the area.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for two years. Buy new when it is no longer manufactured for ages. But as the scratch do not like pink, it was hanging in a store about 8 years and I've had for 60 euros. There are a few on the market of okaz, somewhere below 80 euros is a bargain. But even 80 euros or more, I will have purchased.
Least one type Metal Zone, more gain than normal rats, more bite than any thing numrique. She buries most of the pedals that prtendent provide a big sound.
The two things I do not like: not of power supply and no LED ... but when you have the sound, who cares royally the rest.

The BRAT is in fact a sub RAT (mean brat dirty even in English). A RAT with components of lower quality.
The switch is not solid plastic, the knobs a bit cheap, there's no LED to indicate that the pedal is pressed and no connection for a power supply.
The case is partially plastic.

UTILIZATION

I tried it on a guitar (Telecaster JCM900 + + pregnant mesa boogie)
It is not beautiful, it's better safe value (or RAT2 turboRat)
A friend used it for a while with a low pending repair of its Turbo RAT. He was very happy when his Turbo RAT is back.
Since then, the Brat is shelved.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is less "dense" a rat, more nasal.
We really feel that it cuts bass.

OVERALL OPINION

The switch plastic one I used is dead. Since I changed it by a metal.
A piece of advice, buy a real RAT, Turbo RAT or RAT2. Even if it's a little more expensive is better and they last longer.

Since this review I would have added a power supply sector.
I also wanted to put an LED but I do not see how. The switch is directly attached to the PCB 1PST. That is, it's a switch (not true bypass?). It should be replaced by a 3PDT and take the opportunity to put a true bypass. But it is beyond my skills. If anyone knows how to do that interests me.
