-Made in Japan ca can be scary but even if it is plastoche it is very robust! (It has almost 20 years and has not moved!) The sound quality is intact.

UTILIZATION

-Configuration is very simple: four settings (rate, depth, Manual, feedback) to adjust the speed, depth, rate of "shift", and the resonance of your sound.
We turned the knobs and go! It offers a wide range of its all very correct. a small adjustment period is necessary but it is possible to refine the sound to perfection and it is also very easy to get quickly to the desired sound.
-I traded there fifteen years against a distortion ARION (excellent too) so no manual but it goes without problems.

SOUND QUALITY

As mentioned above, the effects are highly effective. The sound is far from being cold, it even adds some warmth to your sound clear. Coupled with a distorion is also a wonder, it just coats your saturation without distorting.
I use a Start with us and a randall rg50tc + eq Berhinger and I'm delighted
The must-it's still using it on a voice, with an adjustment déliquat it adds depth to the claimant and heat. I have a dynamic microphone t-bone 85BETA MB and the result is really excellent.

OVERALL OPINION

Here is a small pedal that follows me for fifteen years and is still in the top.Tous grateux practicing for over ten years have known of this brand of pedal Pê was smiling but that really has nothing to be ashamed compared to a brand as boss, some effects are worse (yes sir) It really does his job! Honestly I've heard a lot of flanger and neither I nor boss ibanez marvient not to match. It is tough for those who do not tap dance on it. What I like: simple setup and perfect sound regardless of the settings. What I like least: a lateral screw at the turn of the switch has a tendency to loosen in force but just switch the screw after a while and it's really a detail though.
I use it all the time but every time I branch it makes me really happy. I referrer that choice without problems!

The SFL-1 is an analog flanger, "made in Japan", in Stereo.
The plastic case, so caution if it is not housed in a pedalboard or other fixed structure. Activation of the switch is made aisment (unlike the plastic Behringer pedals).

UTILIZATION

I have no manual. The use of the pedals is very simple when we understand the functionality of rglage knobs.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is to go, the analog is much felt. The flanging is friendly, always enjoyable. However, it loses saturation in righteousness, tends sound a bit like a vibe (in EXAGRES ...) by its depth, which tends to drown large agreements. Trs diffrent a Boss BF-2, which tends to boost your distortion and asscher.
Lorsuqe you push the intensity of the effect sounds organic, a little water, too, like an empty bottle ... (Reminds me of the preset Comet Trails Line6 FM4) it will be well aware of the palm muted in the video test ( http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=Gg4iuUnlPtM ) .
No metallic sounds so.

OVERALL OPINION

Arion is the socity apparently, it is also difficult to find information on the SFL-1. Despite all the reviews on Harmony Central ( http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Effects/product/Arion/SFL-1%2BStereo%2BFlanger/10/1 ) can locate the product quite well.

The Arion SFL-1 is a digital flanger pedal that can be used with any electronic instrument, but I have only used it with electric guitar and I believe that is the best thing that it is suited for.  The pedal has a 1/4 inch input and two 1/4 inch outputs as this has stereo capabilities.  The pedal can be powered with either a nine volt battery or power supply, but I usually use a battery so I cant' say too much about the power supply.  This isn't a rack mountable piece of gear.

UTILIZATION

The configuration of the Arion SFL-1 isn't hard to follow in the least.  There isn't a lot going on, but there is enough here that you can get a good amount of differing tones.  The pedal has parameters in the form of knobs for rate, depth, manual, and feedback and has a switch to use this as either a stereo or mono pedal.  That is all there is to the Arion SFL-1 and for this reason I don't believe that a manual is a necessity.


SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the Arion SFL-1 is sub par in my opinion.  While it obviously sounds like a flanger pedal and will give you the effect that it claims to, it lacks a certain fullness and depth that I look for in a flanger pedal and any effect pedal for that matter.  Don't get me wrong, this isn't a terrible flanger by any means, I just don't think that it is worthy of being used by professionals.  I have used the pedal with a '76 Fender Twin Reverb and a Fender Strat, so I'm hearing what the pedal truly sounds like...


OVERALL OPINION

All in all, the Arion SFL-1 is decent flanger pedal but is never my top choice for any application.  It is probably best for live shows and not recording, but it isn't made all that sturdy and I would be extra careful with it because of this as it kind of feels like a toy.  The price isn't bad at all if you can find a used on, which is one of the pedals best selling points.  However, if you want a cheap flanger pedal I would recommend checking out the Boss BF-2 as this is quite cheap and definitely has a better sound than this pedal in my opinion...
