« Fender DG-8S »
Published on 01/31/04 at 15:00I bought this guitar at Monmouth Music in Red Bank, NJ. I am a 35 year old beginner on a $200 budget, so this package was perfect. It includes a solid spruce top guitar, tuner, strap, gigbag, picks, and a good intructional DVD. The whole package was $199. I researched guitars in this price range and to find one that has a solid spruce top and is as well made as this guitar is rare.
It does not feel like a $199 dollar package guitar. The action is nice and low and the neck is thin. Great for a beginner and players with smaller fingers. The Ibanez package with the PF-4 could not even compare with this guitar package. For the same price, the Fender is a much better deal.
Not a thing so far.
The construction is very solid. I was playing around with Ibanez, Guild, and Takanime guitars and this one felt just as good. The sound is excellent too.
I love this guitar, especially for the price. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good beginner guitar. Or even the advanced player looking for a great sounding beater.
