This is a completely analog phaser pedal plus a switchable fuzz. It is quite big: -1 point.

The phaser, jet-type phaser (inspired by the Roland AP-1), can be switched to 2 modes depth (shallow / deep) and 2 speeds (slow / fast).

There is a single jack input and single output jack, a single power supply types Boss suit.

Purchased directly in the U.S. (Capitol Guitars) for $ 429 including shipping, or 334 euro in January 2013. So a very expensive price "boutique" (-1 point) but is discussed in view of the circumstances (handmade = price of labor in a Western country, service ...).

UTILIZATION

Usage is simple:

There are four buttons at the bottom:

Sometimes draft when all is thoroughly (especially tone and volume), we might have liked to fine tune the sound. So it is not (-1) but eventually enough because it sounds!

SOUND QUALITY

I love, then I will not be objective:

The phaser is good, slightly hovering very psychedelic, depending on the depth adjustment. The ability to change speed and depth during the game allows you to make even more nuances to his game For climbs (runs) in power (depression?) Is excellent.
With resonnance, it sounds like a vibrato (type Classic Vibe). I also like.

The Fuzz sounds as hell, very "green" as I like. A hendrixien side really enjoyable!

I play mostly with a half box above, double microphone, and that's good. The bass is very large and round and treble oscillate properly.


BUT:
when I received the enclanchement pedal caused a drop in too much for my taste. An eye on the forums Loud Button showed me that this is a recurring problem. Neither one nor two, I contacted the manufacturer, Shawn Shoenberger, which was very nice (small pat on the shoulder inside).
I sent the pedal and he corrected me easily turn the pedal killer!
Of course, it cost me shipping to USA (with their bullshit customs declarations) and several weeks of waiting.
It's a shame, but for a handmade pedal, almost tailor, well ... Can bear some inconvenience. Still -1.
The next 'boutique', maybe I will choose more 'local'?

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it for me (fine / coarse) Christmas gift last year. This is a boutique pedal, so "that costs a blind for what it is."

But I had a crush on some videos, and I could / wanted to make me happy. I do not regret it. I already have several in Phaser pedal (MXR, Ibanez, Boss) or multi-effects (Line 6, Digitech, Korg) and it is better.
I also have several Fuzz (Zoom, Electro-Hamonix) and it also brings a special touch.

I just regret the enormous size of the pedal (full of empty!) And possibly it is "mono" (there I nitpick!). But ultimately, I am completely satisfied.

My advice: new it's really expensive (whatever ... for this quality) have a version for a 'boutique' of the original AP1 I do not say but secondhand, for lovers of pure analog coming out of the ordinary, I highly recommend it!
