PRS Dragon II treble

I paired with a Kami Blackrose in neck.
I love this mic because it matches my expectations:

- Good clean (not gaudy) clean, goes well with the neck and provides an interesting versatility
with the split, which is not the case for all the microphones splitables.
- Cool drive very dynamic and quite thick (much like a classic 57 +)
- Nice crunch, could distinctly hear the attack of finger or mediate,
according to the strength of this one patch of micro responsive.
- Disto nervous, lead very dense and complex.
What's great in this micro is that when I play with,
I like playing with a classic guitar sound (like a Les Paul or Strat)
while nothing like him.
For me it is a classic of the future
PRS did a great job on this.
I paid 60 euros secondhand and frankly it's excellent.

I bought this mic with his friend, the Dragon II bass, during the winter and installed it in the spring to a tuner schecter.

It is clear that the micro is an event all by itself. This pickup will cruncher at the lowest volumes. Very slammin, it delivers a lot of treble. In saturation, slamming attack is perceived as powerful, but directly dependent on the game pick. A very subtle micro for a variety of applications then. I see her as a gain higher than the average of the microphones I've tried. Only the sound is more brutal, in combination with his counterpart round, the sound delivered is rich and beautiful for solos. The clean is particularly haunting. This microphone is suitable for expanding the range of a guitar, basswood or mahogany / maple. The dark woods in general, lose their dark side and we can easily re-obtain a balanced sound.

In Split, we are surprised to get typed sounds of fender telecaster, punchy and slamming. To say that a split micro do not have a light background would be a lie. It must, however, that I have to listen carefully to collect background noise (which, again, appears on all models of pickups. I also advise on the Korean guitars, making a careful tuning. A good wiring, a condo worthy of the name and good knobs will make the most of the sound delivered by this microphone.

The cover version of Chrome is very sensitive to fingerprints and sweat. Without careful maintenance, they tend to deteriorate rapidemment. The gold version is it, as sensitive, but to a lesser extent.

Note that owners should be wary Schecter generous dimensions of these pickups, mini-ripping was necessary on my guitar (less than one mm per side, but it was really going on without that).

The connection to three son, prs typical, is not disturbing for mounting on other guitars, once you get to the idea.

The purchase price is high but I think the investment justifiable.
