The first contact with Marc Aimar was friendly and I found someone knowing answer my questions and technical expectations. He tells me that he has no stock and each microphone is made for the client. On the occasion so we can discuss with him the character to bring to the set. I plugged it set on a jaguar Crafted in Japan 99: good violin but nature of the attack too strong in the bass, treble clenching, lack of dynamics without AC or disaster. However, I want to keep the bite lower medium characteristic of the jaguar who always scores in the first tracks with distortion.
Marc has told me that we could have a choice tighter on media (CBS Version) set or
keep a wide spectrum with smooth highs.

Sending the payment receipt microphones time was about a week.
Very good contact always reassuring, and keeping abreast of the progress of the project. The pickups are very well packed. Long son giving room for wiring, labels giving positions to respect, good quality covers (black or white choice).
When installing there is a difficulty: the plate is not wide enough holes to let the pickups and it takes very little. Problem solved with the scalpel of my daughter for work pate fimo, probably due to
different standards of Japanese classifications.

For sound: very nice frequency balance dynamic and friendly jaguar spirit. I tried microphones
period and MS tornado take the comparison with a halved (a used set on ebay time costs between 400 and 500 euros) budget! These pickups bring undoubtedly that lacked precision and grain to the Japanese jaguar.

I remake that choice with pleasure. In a project aimed at creating a guitar player I find exciting
chat with people, passionate themselves (luthiers, makers of microphones, accessories etc.), its artisans.
MS tornado is one of those actors who give meaning to the use that is made of an instrument. It is not
in the galaxy of the manufacturing chain.

ps: when I talk about the comparison with period microphones must take into account two factors. First you must compare on the same guitar that was the case. Second, the course will not have its "time" ie sound with magnets that have aged and partially lost their power of magnetization which contributes to weaken the output levels at times. I have last year a Fender Jaguar (Japan) which I find very comfortable to play, but I found them really means microphones. So I tried to replace my luthier told me Tornado Ms Pickups a craftsman who makes copies of micro '60s with the same materials at the time, wound by hand over a reasonable price. So I contacted for more information, after discussing it with my needs I opted for the set micro Jaguar 62 (sent by Colissimo in was very prompt and accurate). It's been two weeks I use these pickups on my Jag and I am more than satisfied! I feel I have changed guitar so the sound is smooth and defined (it does more drooling) the dynamic range is huge, it's a real treat! The sound is beautiful with a good tube amp! Pure happiness, I'm not about to change the microphone, they are perfect for me!
