All user reviews for the Celestion G12-35XC

I just ride this G12-35xc instead of my original C90 semi open cab Mesa Lonestar 1X12 19 ". I work mostly with a pedal and Z M12 Gibson LP Special in P90. This is a Upgrade which mainly aim to gain in versatility and "bright".

It is actually more "bright" and a little less "hot" than the C90, what I thought before ordering. It will therefore rebalance my record with my LP which has a strong tendency to sound round and warm, just a little too ... Moreover, it is also perfect to find the British Celestion grain a bit more "rough" for crunch.

To hear but it is new, I have a tendency to suddenly say that approximates a G12H Heritage but with something in the grain more or less at the media, it depends. .. maybe still a little more "smooth" or more "right" than the Heritage but less than C90. It sounds a little less medium in any case, that's for sure. It is also quite "open" and "airy". Some say it is positioned in the line of successful new version of Creamback G12H-75 but with some particularity in mediums that it is not easy to describe in words. As usual, you always try and make their own opinion!

This makes it an obvious HP except where more singular in the range manufacturer. I would have to also re-compare with a G12H30 70th but I have more on hand ...

Like all HP guitar, there is no good or less good but rather we prefer to others or who marry better with the amp and the rest ... For once, I am happy because I like sound level, it goes well with my M12 and transcribed more the grain of some of my various pedals (including Ace Thirty Wampler sounds better now). In any case this is very different from 35xc C90 that I know well ...

Ultimately, a C90 will remain in my combo amp LS Special (equipped and original) because it is not bad and is a HP that I also like, while G12h30xc replace my extra cab Lonestar ...
