I have long played on various drafts of Elixir strings, their longevity is undeniable, but their reach is quite specific (rough, probably because of the protective film) and will not please everyone. The sound also seems to me less bright and banging on other brands of strings, it said the biggest problem remains the prohibitive cost (at least in France), enough to bite fingers when you break a string.
