After presenting its revolutionary titanium-coated acoustic strings at the 2008 Winter NAMM show in January, Ernie Ball/ Music Man now introduces its patented coated Titanium RPS technology adapted to electric strings, providing the same cure for problematic weakness and breakage and offering strings that resist buildup and aim at providing a clear, crisp tone gig after gig.
Similar to the titanium-coated acoustic’s, these new strings feature triple protection: an exclusive protective coating on both the wrap wire and the plain strings as well as a patented winding of titanium wire around the lock twist of the ball end. According to Ernie Ball, the titanium-coated Slinky electrics are made with the finest and freshest raw materials, in line with the company’s heritage of craftsmanship and quality.
