I use little display "Auto" is scanned all strings and the whole spectrum of 4 or 6 strings is displayed.
I use this function to check the end of the tune, never to fine-tune each string.
It produces no noise disturbance and may well remain permanently connected (of course right after the guitar and not the amp input, if there are several pedals!)
I could test in comparison with measuring pro and the response of this little gem is excellent: no false notes!
