If you are looking for a vintage type tremolo 7 string, be aware that this is the only one so far that is available on the market. Schaller and Fishman in manufacture, but these are models that are not licensed for sale (you have to buy a Music Man Vigier or to have them). Now there Hipshot offers a very high standard vibrato, at a price equivalent to a Floyd Rose (around 250 euros, maybe less). The design is excellent. The knives are very well thought out and designed to limit contact with the inserts. This requiet extreme precision during assembly (that is anyway something to be done by a luthier in whom you trust, because it is played almost tenth millimeter). The plate is thick and now is perforated to receive the Graphtech saddles, to add to your guitar, a piezo sensor, a sensor afternoon, or both. Thus the son of the sensors does not exceed the vibrato, and there is less work to install such equipment. (I invite you to see, comes to you on my space where you will see pictures of my Adamante, you will see that no wires are visible.)
The use of vibrato is very nice and very efficient. The shaft sinking all alone in the slot, there is neither no screws, no guts to continue, but the size of the piece is accurately calculated. A screw of Serag found at the tremolo block, can shake the hardness of the movement of the rod. The movement is very regular and no known crack, which would make the movement of vibrato discontinuous. Truly, you get a vibrato very continuous and flexible. It is very powerful. The return of the vibrato is excellent. He returned quite in place.
Its appearance is successful and chromium is very good. Its stem type Fender goes very well with the Start and other superstrate, but with guitars to look different.

Of course, that vibrato is a high tariff, but a 7-string model, produced in relatively small quantities, and has been for quite some time. No doubt he will cost less in the coming years. However, the model 6 string is at rates that equal those of quite Schaller et consors, but for a higher result. This is an excellent choice I referrer without any hesitation.
