Aphex are demonstrating their new headphone distribution amplifier, the Model 454 HeadPod, at the 2008 Winter NAMM show.
The Model 454 HeadPod is a 4-output headphone distribution pod with four independent stereo power amplifiers. Working with any headphone type, the HeadPod provides high headroom to avoid amplifiers clipping.
Individual volume controls are provided for each of the four headphone outputs. A master volume control on the HeadPod allows for matching of source levels. It connects to analog sources, with a rear panel selector switch to choose between balanced sources and unbalanced sources.
The Model 454 HeadPod is housed in an all-metal chassis, and includes a 12VAC power supply. An option mic-stand mounting bracket, the 454BR, is also available.
The Model 454 HeadPod is available from Aphex dealers with a suggested retail price of $249 USD.
