Value For Money :
Excellent
Audience:
Anyone
I got this way back in 1987.
The Distortion and Overdrive is weak, so you have to pump in an distortion pedal in the input to make it sound great , if you do, you will be satisfied with the sound you can get.
Without a distortion pedal being pumped in, you can get a a great Mark Knopfler sound our of this Headphone amp .
Handle it with care, it's made of plastic.
The echo in this device is more like a shallow / fast slap back echo or Reverb.
The hidden gem in the Hott Watt 2, is the Chorus, it's very unique, it's kind of like a reverse phased Chorus that is awesome.
I did an experiment back in the 1980's, I took my Tube Screamer off my pedalboard and ran this into my Marshall JCM 800 and Carvin X-100 B stereo set up .... next thing I know, the Arion Hot Watt 2 became my primary overdrive pedal.
It hit my amp set up with more dynamics than my Tube Screamer pedal , in breath taking way .
Their is a rotary wheel on the side that adds or trims off the overdrive .
I was very surprised by this pedal .
