Once connected we find the characteristic sound of an ES 335
SOUNDS
Microphones Kent Harmstrong original pickups are relatively neutral and do not have a big personality, that said the Clean sounds are nice and overdriven sounds are excellent (they are loaded in normal medium)
I have personally replaced by Phat Cat Seymour Duncan (P90), I was looking for a sound to Grant Green, and I must say I'm not disappointed.
OVERALL OPINION
I 1 month ago
I tried Epiphones ES 335, ES 339, Casino, Gibson ES 330, ES 335 Gibson, Hagstrom Viking TC SA2200VS Yamaha, Ibanez JSM100-VT.
I said that I already have a Gibson ES 135, so I know what a "real" Semi-Hollow body.
What I like most about the T386 Eastman is the feeling "Archtop" and not solid body, perfect to embody my jazz project. Phat Cat pickups with the guitar can easily switch from Jazz to Funk to Pop, very comfortable in the blues-rock of course, certainly not for the Hard though Ted would Nudgent what to do ...
The price / quality ratio and correct, although to 900 Euros in Chinese takes time to get used to ... but I bought this guitar because it is the only "ES 335 like" market with a handle wide (44 mins) I have big paws! The Epiphones
have a nut to 42.6 mn (for teens)
Anyway, I was ready to put a little extra money to get a handle to my liking, but as and when I discover a great guitar with a strong personality!
I was looking for a guitar that does not attract the greed to go beef clubs from the depths of the Paris night, bet won, I do it again this choice in hesitation, it even made me want to buy model AR372CE Eastman!
Eastman to a very good reputation in the world of stringed instruments and many young jazzman on a tight but willing to use a professional instrument guitars budget.
