This beautiful was built in the United States in 1966 after the serial number. It is a hollow-body (half body what).
I do not know exactly what term means what type of bridge, but it is not easy to settle.
Bolt (not common on this type of guitar) and no central beam, this guitar lives in hand feedback
2 micros simple 2 volumes, 2 tones, a microphone 3-position selector.
UTILIZATION
The handle, as is some type of mustang (I'm bass player so I have not tried 500 guitars ...) in any case very thin and narrow, but very comfortable, easy to play, I counted the number fret (do not care ...), access to the last 3 frets at the top is not easy to handle. This guitar is very light, you do not feel it (3.5 Kg).
At the sound, the highs are fender: crystal, dynamic, warm, position each microphone is usable, it depends what one seeks. Overall, this guitar is not made for heavy distortion, this is not an ES-335, the microphones do not have a huge level of output. I like the sound of this guitar, with a bit of saturation history of the sound a bit dirty. That said it sounds very little out interesting and surprising.
SOUNDS
I am a bassist, so the guitar is secondary to me, but I use it to compose and yes it should be partly my style, I play in a power-trio rock, my guitar player used it in the studio during recordings of the album of my band (and some light overdrive sounds). I plugged into a little giant head Blackeart passing through a 2X12 "Marshall, and it does.
I love all the sounds of this guitar, but she does not know everything.
OVERALL OPINION
I use depuis3 years, I have not tried before, I bought on a whim and I do not regret, it's a guitar not easy to find (it is not known, it is a commercial failure of Fender), which is worth to be tried (which is why I write this review). I paid + / - 900 euros with the original flight case, it seems to be a fair price
