UTILIZATION

Very easy to play once it is set up correctly.

SOUNDS

I use a Marshall DSL40c and a Carvin Belair to play through and it's great through both amps. I have various pedals but don't use them much.

OVERALL OPINION

The pickups are the only negative about this guitar that I have noticed. I changed mine to Gibson 57 Classic in the neck position and 57 Classic plus in the bridge.....that Made a HUGE difference in the sound and now it really sounds great. I wanted a Gibson 335 but not at the prices they go for these days. I bought the Ibanez with the idea it would be my "poor man's" 335. Well, now I don't even think about the Gibson! This guitar is all I could ever want in a semi-hollow body.

Purchased from Alto Music in Middletown, NY. Paid $269 w/o case

Very good sound, great looks, excellent craftsmanship. Played nicely right out of the box. Sound was enhanced substantially by changing strings to D'A 11"s. I had been searching for a semi-hollow blues/jazz box for quite some time. All that I liked were a bit too pricey. Finally decided on the Gibson 335 until a friend told me to try our the Ibanez. I was very pleasantly surprised by the sound, the feel and its looks. I could not justify the substantial additional cost of the 335. Purchased the Ibanez along with a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and still saved a whole lot of money.

I have no complaints or secnd thoughts about buying my AS73. Its a great deal.

The AS73 is extremely well constructed. The level of attention to detail is excellent. It feels great to hold and wonderful to play. The finish is flawless, the binding is better executed then what I have seen on considerably higher priced instruments. The electronics are certainly adequate and allow the tonality I was looking for, sweet, warm blues tones and deeper jazz tones.

Ibanez has changed my outlook on buying a "name". I must admit that I would not even look at a production type guitar unless it said Gibson or Fender on the headstock. I tip my hat to Ibanez for producing a high quality, affordable instrument for the hobbyist and one that even a professional might not mind adding to his toolbox. Ibanez alters the old adage of "you get what you pay for". I feel I got a heck of a lot more then what I paid for. What a welcomed change that is!

I bought this bad boy from my local Axe music in edmonton,AB canada.I think i bought it like 3 weeks ago. I got this guitar because it has this really kick ass see through red finish thats unbelievable as well as great tone AND feel. I paid $400
canadian so i think its 299.99 american.

it has great pickups. I think their ibanez but that dont matter cause they rock!. they have the warmest sound on clean and create this crazy distortion when used with a pedal or amp on dirty. I just love the red finish dude! I play in a punk/screamo band and this thing is perfect for this shiat! And yet its a hollowbody!!!!!!


The only thing i dont like about this guitar are its lousy tuners. they knock out of tune moderately often, especially after you put it back in the hardcase or gig bag.Other then that its a fuckin great guitar dude.

One thing to say about the set neck..............ROCK HARD! this thing has withstand me fuckin droppin it! (by accident) and me sittin on it!...o.k. maybe i went to far with that but its fuckin great.

save up. buy it. you wont regret it. but it...NOW!

UTILIZATION

This guitar is alright. It's good, but rough around the edges. It can be setup to play very well, but the neck still feels a bit lacking compared to even slightly higher priced Ibanez models. The hardware feels a bit cheap, the electronics seem a bit rough, and the pickups are unimpressive.

SOUNDS

I'm not a fan of the pickups. They are average-sounding at best, and mediocre at worst. They are nothing special - they pickup the string vibrations, so they work, but they just don't sound good. The guitar is meant to be played in almost any genre, and the AS73 could be used for nearly anything but metal, but I wouldn't use it without an overhaul of the electronics and pickups.

OVERALL OPINION

This guitar gets a 6 overall from me. The AS103 is a bit more expensive, but a ton better in quality. The nut that keeps the 3-way switch fastened to the body was machined poorly, and had a sharp twisting shard of metal sticking upward that actually drew blood from my hand! That's just poor-quality craftsmanship at that point, and I wouldn't even bother with this guitar when the AS103 exists. Not recommended.

This guitar is made in China. It has 22 frets, two humbucker, one bridge Quik Change III, a body stocky, small frets. The body is 43 mm pais.

Using two hours every day for two weeks I like to look that reminds me are some 335 are but I can not afford!
Tried two lag made in china in the same price range, there is no picture Ibanez request its manufacturers an irrréprochable quality for this price: a question of image.

The sound is magnificent. Plugs into a Roland ME33 and a simple amplifier, dj is standard. The sound is pure, no parasite, prcis, sustain.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for one month only. The color is gorgeous, the quality is promising trs.
The quality-price ratio is simply unbeatable.
I recommend this guitar, I try on of hte big fat Mesa lamps ...

Model 2005, manufactured in China, 22 frets neck, frets are small enough good intonation, correct wood without, surprisingly heavy guitar (requires central beam), design of the head narrower than the last, with a logo in abalone, CLEU better than being painted white. The woods seem pretty cheap and not dense enough and the assembly / bonding means as can be seen by removing the microphones. Otherwise, the design of the guitar is pretty nice, not too big size, nice cutaways. The finish of the handle is good, the rest is not spectacular but it is an entry level guitar.

UTILIZATION

Excellent playing comfort, Comfortable handle, making it a good scratch to start in jazz. We can play fast, fingers, the mediator, at the top or bottom of the handle is very nice. width, light radius, thickness, everything seems pretty smooth, it's a very good point because relatively rare at this price. Access to acute excellent, the guitar is very fair and adjusts very well. The tailpiece makes string changing a practice, the mechanics are very good strings and good balance, especially sitting at stake.

SOUNDS

The three sounds available are good enough. They are clean, balanced, they hold the crunch and distos, but not transcendent.
neck position, its quite jazz, not too dry, warm, lacks a bit of musicality and finesse but can do everything. bridge position and use more blues crunch but rather in the heat is to go, no sound shrill or annoying. A little too dry and bland for my taste but I'm used to high-end microphones ... Overall, at € 230 with hard case, it is a good deal, install flat rope mesh pulling harder is desirable, and for my part, I also opted for a change of pickups. I installed my classic leosound 57 (alnico2) and then the sound is much more musical and rich (phew!) And the dynamics much better, even if the cash is not the best there is. The crunch is powerful and bold.

The full saturation harmonics ... but do not break the ears! Super happy!

The clean is very smooth and rvlent "coated" (low and medium). The highs are less fte without a good rglage on the amp.
