    Excellent !

Reverend Club King 290Published on 11/24/15 at 11:43
I use the Reverend Club King 290 with Orange AD30 and Ampeg V4BH amps, mainly playing a mix of punk & hardcore. This guitar is just great, my (Mexican) Fender Telecaster and Gibson SG have a hard time competing with it.

I love the way it looks, in between a Tele and LP with even a little Rickenbaker to it - the only cons on this point is the cheap-looking Reverend logo on the headstock.

Soundwise, the (Reverend-made) P90s deliver excellent clean sounds, hot and deep, and also a big overdriven sound - very good for crunch too. The "Bass Contour" knob is great, it adds a lot of low without drowning out the other frequencies, also the fact that it's a semi-hollow slightly favors the mids. Regarding playing comfort, it's almost as comfortable as a Fender.
The finish is just perfect, nothing to say against it.

All in all, it's a beautiful, very versatile and affordable guitar.
