I mounted the mic on a guitar I made a month ago.
The sound is both hot and nervous, but very versatile vintage since I use both jazz for the metal.

The cache is semi-open, it gives the original look and a microphone, I think, pretty class.
Wiring is simple, noted that on a guitar Duesenberg there is a split that allows to explore all the sounds imaginable, without any loss in volume when changing from one tone to another.

The output level is high, no problem with a couple gibson 490 in handle.
Nervousness is also related to the guitar (ash body) but I also had a Duesenberg was surprised by fishing for this microphone.

The grain is very fine, it colors the overdrive a bit like the sound of Gibbons in ZZ and fries can be strings, there is a dynamic quite impressive.
In a Mesa 2:50 + JMP1 the distortion is anything but chemical: a real sound to the Mastodon, huge and full, not hollow (rather rounded in the treble) and to switch from rhythm to solo without failing.

I plutt difficult in terms of microphones ... not sensitive to Seymour, but not satisfied with the Di Marzio type of Gibson guitars (in gnral A MODEL prs). If I had to change a microphone on a Gibson, I Do not hesitate one second, because the humbucker gives exactly what this type of instrument: a balance between heat idalie vintage, and the pr decision a little more adapted to modern loadings.

As long as you do not expect him to do in the mtal, you can go for it a closed ring, it is expressive, balanced in single-and rhythm. While I am much less convinced by Domino (p90) that I found really sour. The Duesenberg Grand Vintage Hb is doing as well in typical vintage amps (Vox, Fender) in mchant more amps (Marshall, etc.).. A kind of Classic 57 more open, prcis more punchy ... In short, I absolutely loved it!

So, to compare, it is sorely lacking high mids, and suffers from a tart side, which saddens me, especially when passing the executioner in the neck position for a while its acute positron easel.
It also lacks a little definition to my taste, especially on complex agreements ...
My opinion may be biased by my habit of evo that I have over ten years but I am still about to change to a more micro-loaded midrange ....
