This PU was mounted in neck position on a Telecaster in Open G, blending perfectly with the Tornade MS Nocaster pickup. These Tornade MS pickups can be considered as small wonders if you look for a twangy Telie sound revitalized by the roundness of the Humbucker. Marc from Tornade MS made me the wiring like an old Telecaster, that mix as desired both pickups using for this the tone knob (i.e., the wiring adopted since 1972 by Keith Richards, among others). That's great, it’s possible to play the Telie on the bridge pickup by incorporating as desired the Humbucker (B/N = 60%/40%, 80%/20%, and so on). Forgotten the ‘57 Gibson PAF, which was originally installed on the guitar, and the Seymour ‘59 that had improved the sound a bit. Also forgotten the Don Mare Keefer in the bridge position, too powerful and without nuance. Now is the best of the best. Thank you so much Marc, the Telie rocks, it's nothing to say, it must be heard to be believed!

Winding, rewiring and installation by Marc of Tornade MS. What can I say?.... A 58 Les Paul VOS that finally sounds like it should...

In terms of use, I've had the opportunity to play in studio with it and you can really tell the change.

The sound is open, the low-mids, the highs, everything is well-defined. The difference is especially glaring when you play with the crunch of an amp, with a moderate attack for clean sounds and more attack to get a fat crunch that knocks you off your feet!

In short, I sold my BurstBuck 1 & 2 on AF and I don't regret having sold them to switch to these pickups!

Oh, and one last thing...you'll be able to hear all the wrong notes you play! Hahaha, that's the flip side of the coin, but it's up to you to improve your playing

I chose these paf 59 for my Les Paul classic because I had heard of the manufacturer. I originally had some wolftones marshallhead that didn't sound bad at all... but these really shocked me! The paf 59 have transformed by Les Paul from a pigeon into a jaguar. It now sounds perfect, very thin and very precise. It's very '70s, think Aerosmith, AC/DC, or Peter Frampton... In short, I love it and I certainly won't sell this black Les Paul any time soon!! I was dumbfounded by the sound finesse, even with clean sounds. It doesn't matter if it's the bridge, neck or mid position, it always sounds awesome, very well-balanced, it really blew me (and my neighbors) away! I give it a 9.5. A big thank you to the artist, who, BTW, is very cool! Tornade ms really honors its name!! Get them! Don't think it twice, they will awaken your guitar!

I use this time for 2 weeks, I rewrite a notice when I will use them for longer.

I had the opportunity to test and try different mics like PAF, whether or not they shop. Of Benedetti, Hepcat, SP Custom and Bare Knuckle always on Gibson Les Paul (guitar that I did changed).
Already the first thing MS Tornado are less expensive than other 249 € a set of humbucker PAF pickups shop for hand made is not excessive, far from it.
Also Mark (the founder of Storm MS) is very attentive, when I started to change my pickups for his I sent him an email, the response was swift and excellent advice. Me explaining details of microphones, different possibility wiring and so on, always very gently and very detailed (not too fancy word that often professional know how to give us ...).
In the end I brought up by my luthier (Gaëtan Nicq, ENG or Guitar Guitar Lutherie Orleans) and it was he who was able to do with all the little details Marc, always according to my desire, of course, and the My use of the guitar.

When I tried the microphones for the first time there is one thing that surprised me ... DYNAMIC is simply mind blowing, to rival the best right hand in the guitar world. The slightest desire is immediately send and sounds instantly, but against these microphones require to have a good right hand, and suddenly I'm reworking it again and again to get to tame these wonders.

To the sound that's easy, it's a PAF, not a copy with a little more bass to stick to the time or another, this is not a PAF, with a powerful sound (not harder) in bridge and a round and warm in his sleeve. The middle position is perfect, I use it now as I did not like it at all and did not use before.
The excellent dynamic that they are very malleable and relatively versatile shot, but that's not what we want them mainly so do not expect something to make Afrobeat interbreeding with Cuban ^^ ...

Accuracy is say typical sound of the 60s
So it's perfect for Rock, Blues, Jazz (about half body it must be delicious) and other variations of those three, but they are not as active pickups EMG makes, so you will always have these impressions of harmonics present in the background, and completeness of its roundness and warmth, inseparable thing about these styles.

I know now that I do not regret my choice, and I already know that in 5 years I will always regret it.
These are microphones that are perfect in every way for all those who love the sound of the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s in the Blues, Rock and Jazz.
We are not in a world of versatility or all is good, but nothing great, we are in a world of excellence or excellence but is related to something specific (60 ', 70', 80 ') .

Other shops pickups are good, very good certe, but the difference between them and the Tornado MS is now well dug.

I wanted to make by this, Gaëtan Nicq La Ferte Saint-Aubin in the Loiret.

I own a classic gibson 1992 with original microphone, the 496/500 pair, as saying that the ca sent lour! but I wanted to change for more vintage pickups, plus a blues spirit, classic rock, a little jazz ... after many search I discovered the tornadems. I finally took the advice of a couple Marc alnico 2 and 3, 2 allowing me to have a more rock. To me what makes the difference are the clean sounds great! round, equilibria, with 2 alnico the intermediate position is crystal clear (les paul huh course!) on bass with the tone knob it falls into the Jazz, they punch but not aggressiveness. The bridge position is very good also with alnico 2, acute but not loud, not aggressive.
Saturates this is exactly what I want. The combination of alnico 2 and 3 is perfect. I rediscovered the sound of my pedal okko dialblo I could not to use with the original pickups, I was ready to sell it but I wanted to wait microphones Marc ... huge! ! low gain sound, perfect for blues. The clean sldrive superbly, thanks it was a beautiful palette of sound. For the bridge alnico 2 be that mean?? My only regret in the matter? .... have to buy mounts and Seymour Duncan for my Ibanez AS93 ...

Already Own Hot Texas Tornado installed on one of my Stratocaster (Fender American Standard 2009 with rosewood fretboard), I promised myself to try humbuckers brand.



I found almost new opportunity dating from 2013.



They are installed on a Gibson Studio 2013 model LPJ table with satin gold: so that this is really the entry level GIBSON Les Paul.



Guitar, bought on sale, with new pickups mounted returned me to exactly 780 euros. It is new in the new.



The value of the entire report is amazing!

No need to be a billionaire to afford a good bill so GIBSON. (This is also true also for Fender used we find great new Mexican or USA in perfect condition for 600/700 euros, 1000 euros max once changed the pickups).

Microphones:



Absolute-precision rendering notes and nuances of the attack of the musician.



Perfect balance 3-positions, as clear and crunch between the low / mid / high: double kiss somehow cool effect!

For someone who wants to improve a correct model guitar midrange proper violin, it's pickups are (at least on a solid body) the ultimate.

I got my Les Paul Standard there three years. It is a model 1996.Je wanted, given its quality assign microphones "vintage". Near A search on the net I'm falling on "tornado ms pickups." Initially, I wanted a sound with the famous Peter Green and accidental magnet mounted upside down! But Marc (the master of the house) rather advised me to change for PAF pickups 59 "Handmade" (or by hand if you prefer!). He also change the two capacitors, wiring and the neck pickup is wound with wire for Stratocaster. This set gives the guitar a more marked Les Paul sound. The work is very neat and the price is reasonable. Even on my amp transistors (Marshall MG 100 and Vox Valvetronic) the sound is superb. But I also plugged into the amp built Marc and then ... that fuzz! In short I need to save for one of these amps. In short, I do not regret my choice and I have met a guy who knows his job seriously and a fantastic ear!

Marc knows what he does and does it well. J already had a series for the strat in ms tornado set, and was already very happy I upgrade so my electric guitars (ES 175 was already upgraded with custom sp) now so the les paul!
After connecting, the first slap in the clear (laney amp to L20T lamps): its very hot, balanced and low just right.

Microphones purchased in October to make my tokai LP less bluesy and more versatile.
I asked Marc has a set parafîé with Alnico 2 in the neck and alnico 5 bridge, all without cover.
Delivered in just 10 days (when others take over a year and a half ...).

regarding the bridge then there is clinging to the rail and the ancestors are awakened. Grand Canyon, ZZ TOP, 70's, Led Zeppelin and many others in the main.je am not a great admirer of Les paul, but then I bow deeply.
I have tried many microphones 20 ans.seul Hepcat is the same size and I think the pickups are their superiors Tornado. vraiment.j 'Gilmour already have a set that is a real beauty, an absolutely fabulous set P90 and the PAF set 59 which is a tuerie.à this day I am going to order another set for my other strat Gilmour palissandre.rapport quality unbeatable price.
