The TP01 is a prampli micro dot of light enters and an XLR output, an input and output jack, as well as between an "instrument". It possde also a 48V power and phase reverse. But the TP01 does not s'arrte l: it is equipped with a compressor / limiter, three band qualiseur and a saw-nitre numrique!

- There is no knob to assay the effect of the lamp.
- There is only one knob for the determination of compression.
- There is a knob the output level.

UTILIZATION

Operation is simple enough Premire seen. But after a few minutes test, There are little tricks that I have tonn:

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is good (better than I had before with a pre-amp my sound card Intgr DSP2000), but the fact of not having to dose knob the lamp does not allow me to really know what silent influence.
Compression / limiting is trs apprciable for rgulier levels and have a good dynamic. Moreover it is well couraging because it does not get (not brutal cutoff).
The qualizer is something new that can bring your own style to the recordings we did.
I have not observed gnration of breath (for now).

OVERALL OPINION

As dpart said, I use it only for 2 weeks (few hours). This opinion may change. In addition it is the first pre-amp lamp that j'achte.

- Assets: the sound is good, not breathing, compression well done
- Cons: Function buttons not explained, no dosage effect 'lamp'

I do not regret my purchase.
IDAL will buy another brand so I can make a comparison.

This is a lamp prampli studio instruments and microphone.
It features an input gain and output volume, a phantom power supply,

UTILIZATION

Everything is simple, but the compression is not setting ... Fortunately, the effect is happening everywhere.

UTILIZATION

20/08/11:
Simple configuration when we had some light on the prior settings around the compressor.

The color ranges from "almost not at all" to "positively charged". Everything depends on the settings of input and output knobs. It is not entirely clear, but it can be a heat almost vulgar when you push the limits.

The EQ is very effective, and handle appropriately.

The compressor also requires some practice. Its range is important as parameters ratio, attack and release times are fixed ... a peak. But the rate of compressed audio, it is really influenced by the potentiometer dedicated to him (hard to explain, sounds speak louder than words can describe).

20/08/11:
Two years of use, to give to my level Tbone RM700 ribbon mic. As it is soft knee issue chest, makes up the Lunnar properly, and I'm pretty happy with the result. For many more, I would not have to worry about taming the breath, but I have not much more expensive to put in there for now.

I also tried to stick a guitar (Telecaster MIK) and low (Hofner Violin). Neither one nor the other I was totally convinced, only the Tele allowed the preamp to make a little better out of the game

In short, it's what I kindly request me without a problem. It was with this ribbon mic a noise footprint that is more color on the palette of what I'm trying to compose. It was the goal, it is achieved.

Under the same conditions, and for the same specifications, why not repeat that choice, because otherwise it is expected to save and buy better. There's no secret.
