Made Nazareth U.S.. Good manufacturing worthy Martin.

UTILIZATION

The handle is nice though, as many Martin strings are a little too far from the frets. Therefore set the action for comfort.

SOUNDS

Hyper sound consensual. Little personality.

OVERALL OPINION

I really like his folk, Dylan, Beaz, etc.. I had a lot of cool guitars. Gibson SJ 200 TV, Hummingbird TV, HD-28V, 000-28 EC ... And the J-40. Basically it still has the "between two stools." Less typical than my other Martin for example. Dovish. When I wanted to play a Martin, it never came first. It was either the 000-28EC is the HD-28V that had each well tempered character. She not. I did not feel any pleasure to play. When I take my SJ 200 TV it has its great qualities, his big monstrous bass, clear highs due to its maple. She spits his personality to each agreement, and uncompromising. This is an amazing walk. When I want to change the HD-28V sends me his strong features too. Ditto for the 000-28EC, so special. These guitars spin you chills. The J-40 did not give me any of that. While measure, concessions, nothing came out. No character. No "genius".
It just seems a lot of guitarists. Probably because she knows everything. But nothing comes of it that can make it unique, recognizable. The sound is excellent, the production made in Martin, etc.. But hey, that's ...
Ah, we often speak of his bass. Ah? Compared to a J200 ... Even a HD 35.
So I sold it, without regret.
I also sold the Humminbird TV for the same reasons. Sublime guitar. But it also did not come to office in my hands when I wanted to scratch. I regret a little. She had an incredible face. The J-40 no.
