All user reviews for the Yamaha DGX-205

The DGX-205 is a keyboard that I call "user-friendly fun", because it's VERY easy to use (you don't even need the manual to start using it) and VERY fun to play.
I got one of those as an "emergency solution". In the end of 2004, my old Technics keyboard got badly damaged and the authorized service couldn't afford with that (remember: Technics stopped to manufacture keyboards at all just the year before, 2003). Because of that, I was with no keyboard. Although I was on vacation, I couldn't wait too much to buy a new one, but my budget also wasnt't that high. Since I was playing mostly piano at the time, the DGX-205 fit well due to its nice acoustic piano sound and its 76 touch-sensitive keys.
Although it's a beginner-oriented keyboard, it can be used by professionals too, since it works well as a master controller for software sequencers and some VSTi plugins - also as itself, if you're a pianist and want a really lightweight instrument. I even used it on big events with a band. The lack of MIDI IN/OUT and Line OUT is the only minor thing, IMHO - although it may be not a real problem nowadays.
Too bad it was the last 76-key instrument from the DGX series with a nice keybed - from DGX-305 on, the keys were way too much fragile for my taste. If I wanted to get a DGX today and the options were 205 and 305, I'd choose the 205 just because of the better keys.
So it's an overall nice keyboard for both beginners and pro keyboardists.

USE

This is the style keyboard that is constantly renewed x months later with a particular function in addition, the basic blah, but for a child who dbute is just passable with a function to read his own score in real time, laser guns sounds and the "quack quack" Duck, otherwise the edition is really boring ...

The sounds are shit ...
The worst is the sounds of "piano" that are truly null in void, touch latte not the situation improves, pregnant saturate ds you push the volume ...
A council do not buy this keyboard!

This is an arranger keyboard 76 keys high performance at a price low enough.
The USB interface is not very developed but you can do so many things with the computer is useless ...

UTILIZATION

As for the sound I find you can really excel and do what you want with ...
It is very easy to use and the manual is very well done ...
I bought it six months ago and it always ends up not surprise me ...
There are so many possibility's possible ...

OVERALL OPINION

This is a great synth for someone who will use it at home for fun ...
on the other hand when it comes to play classical piano or take classes and play it I advise you to take a keyboard with a semi-heavy.

-Config rather simple, easy take control
-There is no dtion dla shit but I use the Native Instruments Kontakt Sampler 2 (also illgalement Tlcharger 200 euros for ... a. .. good ... finally )

Arranger keyboard with 76 keys of memory ... I think a headphone dot pt, which serve as external output, a connection for a slecteur foot, and a USB connection to connect the pr directly to a computer.
There are 480 sounds and a few, and a good hundred styles ...
there are a few effects (reverb, chorus ,...)
there is possibility of mmoriser 5 of your own songs (5 tracks) ds the internal memory of the keyboard.
sold with a CD-ROM to install software qqs

UTILIZATION

Very easy to use, the manual is quite clear and complete. The grip is almost IMMEDIATE.
Must prciser it is not possible to export the songs we have crs to his computer with software provided, they are importing songs from dmo supplmentaires mainly (for those intressent pq has not, but hey)

OVERALL OPINION

I've had about a year. Overall the sounds are plutt good, I like the drums and some piano sounds, ms certain sounds are very poor (eg Guitar overdrive!). Bcp I did not test for other models, I wanted an arranger keyboard not too expensive, quite large (for playing comfort) pr qqs test for my compositions and orchestrations mmoriser my ides. The report quality is plutt good, I think.
It is on this keyboard has a more playful side than anything else, it ft know what you want to do, among other things, this will never replace a real piano.
This works well and test pr qqs fun stuff at home, ms should not ask him more bcp.

A keyboard affordable for training.
The sound quality still leaves something to be desired but pleasant with a nice range of about 500 sounds.

UTILIZATION

It is rather entertaining for my taste, very easy to use, plus it is a method (which I find useless) built into it. The manual is clear and practical.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since August 2005.
Part of a metal band, it serves every day for my training and repetition all Wes!

A point not mentioned is that it can serve as a master keyboard with software such as Fruity Loops computer music (I use). But the response time is not easy to solve.
