PSR-S900, purchased at $ 1.800 Archambault Québec
UTILIZATION
Very approachable, everything is accessible. Intuitive VTR functions at will.
After 2 weeks, not been around all the possibilities, at least, not in depth, many, many things configurable. Connections very correct. The sounds and rhythms are great. The amp on the keyboard a little weak, I recommend instructors. Integrated mixer, you can take an external source and mixed into the keyboard (or micro computer, for example). The buttons are rubber, very comfortable, I hope they will be easy to clean (the keyboard in the store was a little pushing ...). The idea to connect the keyboard directly to the internet is good, but to allow access "via" PC, seait much better. Anyway, MusicSoft does not much free (music style), it costs an arm ($ 5 for a song midi ..., um, if you pay more than $ 1 a MP3, it has the impression of being cheated ...).
The manual is clear, concise. On-screen keyboard, some parts in French, but not all ...
OVERALL OPINION
I use the PSR-S900 two weeks ago. I hesitated for a Yamaha MO6 ... I had a Casio WK-3000 and replaces very well. What I like most is the Style section, beginning with 3, 4 and 3 variations for the fade in / out of touch, according to the OTS (One Touch Setting), the register memory (for remember our settings), the functions of the section that promises much SONGS ... The Powers Sounds, guitar, trumpet ... I deplore the quality and variety of sounds over synth, access the Internet as a direct connection (bypassing the PC) and the exorbitant prices asked for songs (as for fun ...) and the fact that 'they are all English (Youhou, Yamaha France ???).
The Tyros 2 seems a lot more powerful and versatile, but at nearly three times the price, it is quickly reasoned. The quality / price is right, you pay for the screen (that can not tip forward ...) but is altogether necessary.
I would do the same choice without hesitation!
