Recording King introduced the new electric lap steel for players who want classic slide tones from blues to rock to country.
The Recording King Lap Steel guitar is now available in matte mahogany (RG-31) or classic sunburst (RG-32) finishes.
The solid mahogany body and the string-through-body design makes for full, powerful sustain, according to the manufacturer. A single EMG-designed Alnico P-90 pickup is designed to give the RK Lap Steel the classic lap steel tone. The matte mahogany version features open-geared tuning machines, and a slotted headstock, while the classic sunburst model has traditional-style tuners on a Recording King headstock.
The single volume and tone controls are designed to allow players to shape their tone from classic country lines to searing blues licks.
Pricing & Availability
The Recording King Lap Steel guitar has a MAP of $149.99 in either finish. Both are available now.
