As dynamic, absolutely nothing to do. is the day and night at his, and not much more expensive (but hey they are not made for the same use is normal).

I am a bit angry at this level, I paid € 105 and some months after I see a playback of 65 but hey .... € 105 for this quality is already very well, so a € 65 if you have a small budget like me I recommend it.

Yes. It is really not expensive, it is solid, it is transparent, and from acute stuffy sound is still very good. It's on to more expensive it gets better, but still allows the equalization to get a clear sound.
While it certainly lacks warmth, it is far from a tube microphone. Personally I prefer having a microwave transparent, to color and put the potatoes later in the audio chain. I think we can work better taking this, but after a matter of taste. (And make no mistake, this m-audio is good but c not a model of clarity)

I would put 9 because it's not perfect but a microphone for a home studio, c still a more than restectable at a very aggressive.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few weeks, APRS having a Behringer B2-Pro. I also possde AKG C3000 Pro version II.
Aesthetics first, it goes everywhere. You can not say he has the face ... the look of my B2 Pro I miss (lol).
I used it mainly for singing up to have my AKG. I use it now or micro room to record my acoustic guitar.
It is sensitive as any studio microphone Obviously, but less than the B2-Pro (a can be a bad or good ...). Its dynamics is correct, the equivalent of the B2-Pro.
Sound, since it is the principal! Trs is neutral, well equilibrated low / medium / high. Compared to the B2 Pro, pte least treble. It's a good point for nasal voices. But personally I loved the B2 Pro, which however is + in + down in the critical ... The B2 Pro was a bit difficult to place in a mix it is true, and the Nova is the same on this point (even if slightly less).
It possde even more acute when my AKG C3000, and the microphones in studios gnral. Which requires a good pice blocks outside noise ... and computer!
The AKG is much more flattering in the bass while remaining neutral. In my humble opinion is the perfect balance of two fingers be achieved with the AKG.
The Nova trs little breath. No problem the above.

I therefore agree with the critics who praise Previous, it is related quality unbeatable prices vritablement ... So having tried other mics + high-end, the Nova is doing extremely well.

If you are beginners in home studio or even if you do not put too much into a microphone that agent will be better, forcment, but with hair ... go for it frankly, of the Nova dtracteurs are certainly jealous of his quality and do not want to admit that there was no point to several hundred for a good microphone!

The M-Audio Nova is a Large Capsule Cardioid Microphone which can be used for recording vocals. It's cheap and perfect for anyone looking to experiment or anyone who is new to vocal recording. It is user friendly and easy to use and it looks decent. It is slim and average sized and it comes with a small microphone stand which is useful if you are looking to place it on your desk. It is a USB microphone so it connects directly into your computer and works well with most programs. I use Audacity for recording and the microphone flows brilliantly with it. This is the best microphone you can get for its price.

OVERALL OPINION

The M-Audio Nova is a great microphone for its price, it would definitely be a good purchase for anyone starting to venture into vocal recording. It is rather simple to use and gives a good quality recording which is at par with many microphones that are higher priced. Before the M-Audio Nova, I was using an Audio Technica AT2020 Cardioid Condenser Microphone and compared to it, the M-Audio Nova delivers at par quality with a lower price. I have been using it in my home-studio for about a year now and am pleased with the quality it delivers. I have not tried to record instruments with this microphone but you can try. I do believe that this is the ideal home-studio microphone if you are on a budget and would recommend it to most people as I have been pleased with the quality, I was skeptical at first when I purchased this microphone due to it's price but I have grown to love it. The M-Audio Nova is must have for anyone who is looking for a good starting microphone or a cheap microphone that delivers great quality

I use it for a little over a week.

I recorded the voice with dynamic microphones before (type SM58, E845) and I t bluff with my purchase: a killer for the price!! The quality is exceptional for this price, I PSE expressions.

I bought nine homestudio 72 (Paris 09) and I still can not. The sound is qu'honnte. It allows a semi-pro recording a cot for ultra-low!

OVERALL OPINION

I use this microphone in the studio for a year and a half.
For voice, no problem, rponse flat curve is satisfactory. The voices are Fidler, microphone does not "flattering" no frequencies.
Absence of parasites, one breath we hear is ... the singer.

For acoustic instruments: the microphones this rvle trs good on acoustic guitar, if it is not up to the rose, but point to the DCAL rear of the bridge (with space to avoid the arm of the guitarist ...).
I test with a violin, an instrument quite difficult to capture, and he comes out with the honors: the sound is alive, not garish, Fidler instrument. What more?

The quality-price ratio is good trs. This is an excellent microphone for a home studio team, beginners or not. I would do without this choice hsiter.

Well as acute as instruments for a classical guitar.
It lacks a diagram of frequency response.
The absence of elastic suspension can be felt when you move the microphone when connected. We would have liked a box rather than a package for transport. The 1m cable is ridiculous.
The dynamics are good I even managed to record percussion.

Unbeatable value for money, the best competitor of the AT2020 ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for several months, and this is my first condenser microphone, so I do not have compared to other models but I have chosen to report qualitprix seems pretty unbeatable.

To beginners, I t impressed with the quality of sound! And over the months, I started to identify its default and its limitations. I use it mainly for vocals and guitar, but I also used a cello and the quality is at the appointment. A microphone that I feel so versatile, even if I find more suited as a guitar voice. For voice, he is sorely lacking in treble. The mediums are too high and there Submitted a bump in the bass. Rsultat: for the voices of girls, not bad for men's voices, giving a sound a little flat, nasal, too Submitted. Overall, if you put the voices recorded with this mic in a fairly rich mix, with a lot of instruments, voices can be found and it's quite all derrire fcheux. In conclusion, prvoyez few hours reworking the sound. Tip: do not register too prs microphone! Parat sound much less clump if you stand a good twenty centimtres the microphone. However, on an acoustic guitar, the sound is almost trs Fidler and usable as is!

I think I would do without hsiter this choice for beginners in the registration price is available for all, and with a bit of preliminary work, your exact is excellent! However, with the experience gained, I turn to the highest quality with a financial investment required to consquent more.

Assets:
- A thunderous quality for the price. A micro-level of which can grow to levels extremely good with a little rglages in the mix.

Cons:
- Not enough treble, a bump in the bass, mids too high ... as much correct default in the mix.
- Supplied cable and protective pouch ridiculous. But for the price, it is not too demanding

Micro static direction cardoïde used on a spoken voice. I use a hybrid preamp Aphex 207 which is a good product. All connected to the Mbox 2 Pro Audio Interface.
Pretty nifty design for my taste.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had a month and I was using dynamic microphones before, such as the SM58.

Ascending:
good value for money. Certainly very good for singing.

The -:
not suitable at all on the spoken voice. The signal to noise ratio is not good for this type of use. Indeed, it is difficult to speak without forcing more than 20 inches from the mic, despite the use of a very good preamp (see the notices on the Aphex 207).
-> At a distance of 20 cm or less, the bass becomes too present.
-> Beyond this distance (25-30 cm and more), fit the preamp gain becomes mandatory on pain of rowing to reach even that -20 db to registration. To banish by all those who slam.
And I agree with the view below the upper midrange too far. This requires proper positioning of the micro mini and a few adjustments to equalization or de-esser for occlusive or sibilant.

With my experience, I will not go the same choice even if I acknowledge that I have gained enormously in precision and smoothness compared to a dynamic microphone. At this level, it is incomparably the day and night.

In the end, very good microphone oriented song for those who want to make a first purchase of quality at this level. Others, and look absolutely drop a microphone that fits your needs and especially try it before in store if you can! That was the mistake I made.

The M-Audio Nova is a large diaphragm condenser microphone that is designed for use in the recording studio. I've only used it in the recording studio and I wouldn't recommend using it for anything else unless you are doing a live show in a remote place. This being said, if you want to get creative and use it for live shows it wouldn't be too bad as this microphone is cheap enough where you could experiment with it if you wanted to.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the M-Audio Nova for about a year or two and while there are ton of other microphones that I would rather use, this microphone is a great deal for the price. It is perfect for home studio owners looking for a dirt cheap microphone to add to their collection or for the project studio owner who has a small set up and needs a cheap condenser microphone to get ideas down. M-Audio isn't exactly known for making microphones, but they provide the home studio world with a cheap line of microphones that sound pretty good for the price. Don't get me wrong, the sound quality of the M-Audio Nova is far from perfect, but the price makes up for it in every way as it is pretty much as cheap as it gets when it comes to large diaphragm condensers. Even so, I would really only recommend it for those who really have nothing to spend but need a microphone to get ideas down or to record demos with as there are some other microphones for the same price or for a little bit more that I would recommend before this one, including the Rode NT-1A which although is more expensive, has a superior sound quality. Overall, the M-Audio Nova is a decent microphone for an extremely cheap price.
