In fact, I read an article that says the TLM 67 is supposed to emulate the characteristics of a string of recording time 50, 60. Namely: loss of precision highs, distortion of a compressor or preamp ... etc. ..
So all we can blame him are actually the qualities required by Neumann in the design of this microphone.
He called 67 just because of the capsule is inside. But it is, from what I understood from this article that was written in German ... .... no question of usurping the name of the U67.
It is deliberately not comparable to U 87, 67 and 47 because it is not adapted to the same recording technology.
Youtou to contradict, the background is more elaborate than it seems.
But Youtou is absolutely right when he says that this microphone is not recommended on the powerful tools and it is not interesting as a mic.
