SM Pro Audio MC01

SM Pro audio MC01 is a very well built mic that you can use if you are on a tight budget. Bought it for a portable studio and proved to be quite worth it. I even drop it a couple months back on the leg of my studio chair and dented the screen...still works fine! I am starting to get a lot more advanced in my skills and am starting to see that even though it made good music for me and friends to listen to, its not the best for pro recording. Price really has nothing to do with the mic since you can find a nice mic without skipping a car payment, but beware that this is really only a temp solution to get you into the door. Down the road if you are still recording, you'll need to upgrade to a more receptive high end mic. (high end as freq, not price)

Great for the start of the home studio world. Great for demo's and overall applications. MC01 mics are very impressive to any musician of any level.


Good quality microphone for the price.It has nice details in the highs,a fairly flat midrange, & good bass. Sensitivity is excellent.I use this microphone mainly for vocals and acoustic guitars. On vocals use a windscreen about 6-8" away, it's a tad bright, but can be fixed with eq.. It's a condenser microphone and needs phantom power, I use it with an Art tube mp.I think the build quality is excellent, I like this microphone. But All condenser Mics require phantom power. So don’t buy it if you couldn't supply the phantom power.

OVERALL OPINION


But overall , this mic is not a bad deal at all. I have used it to record vocals, guitars, and some other instruments. If you really want to improve the sound, then get some good pre-amps and you will be pretty impressed at the change in sound quality.

Recommendations: warning about the suspension that is included in the box, the rubber band is fragile and requires a more skillful handling to avoid the user in the long run.

Buy a well-known store in the capital, that I would call no / longer due to negligence with the client! So myself in this case!

Bass-cut switch this on the body of the apparatus and -10 dB attenuator!

Requires phantom power required!

OVERALL OPINION

Used only a few times for voices (bass and midrange to treble in my voice).
Susceptible for proximity effectwith and without pop-up filter, it requires a certain time to find the right position  while keeping the mouth well in front of the capsule.

It  catches every nuance easily, including the feel of a room, which can, over time, be embarrassing to the return of other instruments present (at least to use it in an atmosphere of total catch, which will require to reduce and adjust the sound level of each with onions!

Not tested on other instruments, other than on voice-instrumented natural human power (surely deserve a hardware heat it generates, without even giving neither body nor EQ parallel to a direct ).

A pop-up filter may be necessary to round the corners of certain syllables, but not necessarily  if the singer is placed well away!

A microphone that I proudly own in my little park and, for my part, could replace much more expensive microphones, for instance because of its almost inaudible noise level, even with a preamp of poor quality.

This micro, felt like a must-have for any home-studio, is expected to have a special place in each of our small parks, even if it is little expensive, it can give much of "the environment "to catch your favorite sounds.

Plus / minus: it bears its brand convincing and confidently, &nbsp;&nbsp;<span style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.296875); -webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(175, 192, 227, 0.230469); -webkit-composition-frame-color: rgba(77, 128, 180, 0.230469); ">although</span>&nbsp;being a little sensitive to use!

I would do that choice again if I had to buy a second.




Mad Max

Micro electrostatic capacitor, the MC 01 prtend great versatility. I have tried only for voice and acoustic guitars, as well as to record a flte. Its cardioid directivity, good sensitivity and cash sound power (130 dB for 0.5% distortion) mean that I had no surprises. Other CHARACTERISTICS = 48 V power supply, a low-cut filter centered around 85 Hz-10db-10db attnuateur and a switchable 30Hz rponse in frquences of 16KHz, impdance <200 ohms .

OVERALL OPINION

18 months of use, primarily for voice. The report is fairly neutral, with a lgre back in high and medium farms serious enough. Having used to hire more prestigious MODELS (Neumann U87), I find that the quality-price ratio is most advantageous. However, it should prciser that miracles are not of this world ... The kit comes with this product is barely worthy of a SM57, and the elastic suspension of the most fragile they broke t trs quickly and advantageously replaced by elastic hair pic one of my daughters ... In conclusion, a good microphone to replace the dynamic you served till the knowing that not only for his money (less than 150!), but we are not flying ...

The MC01 is an electrostatic condenser with a cardioid. It is a micro mainly suitable for making voice and instrument. It comes with its suspension and has a-10dB attenuator and a switch to low-frequency filter 100Hz/-10db any two switches. If the packaging is simple, the microphone is robust and meets caractéritiques ideal for use very versatile.

OVERALL OPINION

I use the microwave for 6 months and I am perfectly satisfied. I was looking for a versatile microphone for vocal takes, acoustic guitar, copper and other stringed instruments as my budget was particularly tight.

I am happy, the sound is clear and dynamic, mitigation options and filter allowed me to save all condictions and all types of instruments. Even if today I'm using a MC03 to catch the most sensitive (Principle Voices), the MC01 is the micro to do everything in my studio.

The price is unbeatable value, do you think I bought € 99. It's perfect to start a micro a good home studio or studio to complete a pro already has a big reference. I would have liked to put the score of 10 saw the services it makes me but the elastic is a little supension lege (nothing irreplaceable), while 9 seems more justified.
