« almost perfect !!!!! »
Published on 07/27/11 at 01:21The installation is done it without problems?
No problem if only one accepts (support) system validation Native, a little annoying ...
The general configuration is easy?
Yes very easy, my two sound cards were automatically recognized as well as all my MIDI devices, ditto for the vsti, good for Native: you can set several records vsti
Have you experienced any incompatibilities?
No, I'm on Windows 7 64-bit, quad core intel 2009.
The manual is clear and sufficient? ...
No, it's a catastrophe, no joke, a shame there are incomprehensible sentences: fortunately the videos tutorials abound on the net!
The software and controller are very intuitive, however if one has a vague experience in this area (groovebox and DAW)
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
As mentioned above: the 2009 quad core PC performance mean + windows 7 64 bit sound card m-audio fast track ultra (a jewel of stability) in usb2.
it turns (in Manhattan) but pretty good vst, you can quickly break the bank if we place four instances in the DAW and fifteen vsti in Parallel ...
So you need a PC to the style of the day and certainly an external sound card (leaving space to the processor ...)
OVERALL OPINION
Maschine is a world of musical creation, an object with a strong personality and unparalleled ergonomics, it is far from perfect!
I rank this stuff in the very select group of inspiring: a simple operation in my head generates a lot of ideas and it is very easy to formalize using Maschine, I've had a couple of weeks and I ten components on the way!
After that it should be noted the following deficiencies that make it run perfectly (but little)
- No arpego
- No direct time stretching, but after all it is not his role ...
- No plans to record either a pure audio track ...
- A sample editor for improvement
It seems that neither is expected SHIFT on a lot of these points are purely software, go around and improve ...
