« a looper ... limited! »
Published on 04/15/14 at 09:38Pedal sampler / looper.
A single channel (mono), but simple format pedal opportunity to connect a second (MIDI sustain pedal style).
Several modes of loop, calibrated on a tempo or not.
You can play pre-recorded by storing previously in memory loops.
Jack 6.35 mm, same output.
Runs on 9V battery or optional power supply sector (highly recommended).
Preference is the level control of the loop so that it matches the level of the instrument.
And also the function box efficient pace.
UTILIZATION
Configuration is both simple and complicated ...!
We can do many things with this pedal, but given its size, this requires knowing the right key combinations, not necessarily intuitive.
The French manual is correct, that English is more detailed.
Very easy to add loop loop (like a multitrack) or delete the last, but for the rest, editing is more complex.
SOUND QUALITY
The "automatic" setting works thunder! A bit like the "quantize" a sequencer, even if we play bad, it loop good
Tested with bass and acoustic guitar, it works (live in).
Tested by sending the AUX from the console, it works good too.
In terms of sound quality ... this is the fault of this pedal, quality 16bit 22kHz sample is insufficient for use in concert. Sounds like a bad mp3 compression: '(
OVERALL OPINION
I used it for 1 year at home, unfortunately never in concert.
I have not tried any other models before.
I think for a pedal to 179 €, the sound is really too bad (big difference in a sound between the sound of the instrument and pedal), and leaves to put a little more, as investing in a pedal will sound usable.
