UTILIZATION

The neck is Maple and it feels pretty good. Definitely more fender-sized neck, rather than the wider Gibson style. I'm able to reach all frets easily, and it's comfortable to hold the guitar. It is very light, moreso than other hollowbodies even.

Dipinto is a cool choice if you're looking for something different. If you want classic tones and a classic look, you should probably look elsewhere. When I first bought this guitar, I was playing in a funk band, and it was perfect for the style of flashy music we played. I've since moved on to folk, rock, alt-country kind of sounds and it stands out quite a bit, but sounds great.

SOUNDS

I've been playing guitar for 20 years and I've owned the Belvedere Deluxe for the last three. It is great for twangy rock, country, rockabilly, or folk. I've never had a problem getting a variety of other sounds for different types of projects. The neck pickup reminds me of a Telecaster, very bright but not thin like a bad tele knock-off.

I play with 12's for strings, so I'm not sure how beefy it would sound if you preferred light strings. My set-up is Belvedere into Boss tuner, Boss Tremelo, Xotic overdrive, MXR Micro Amp, Boss Delay, and a Holy Grail Reverb. After the pedal board, it goes into a hand-built tube amp based on the circuit of a Fender Bassman. The speaker is also hand-built, a 1x15 with a Swamp Thing speaker.

I play both clean and distorted, lead and rhythm. I like the DiPinto most for Twangy rhythm, like Rolling Stones type tunes. It's not as good for beefier rock or punk guitar tones.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had the Belvedere for 3 years, and I really like it's style and sound for funk or Rockabilly. I tried every DiPinto model and like this one best. Great value, you can't really get a decent guitar for 500 bucks new anymore.

I probably would not buy another DiPinto, because I've grown accustomed to the thicker Gibson necks.

Guitar made in Korea, solid mahogany, semi hollow body, Bolt, ebony fingerboard, two single pickups, vintage type, three-position selector, Bigsby bridge type, rather light and balanced. Volume and tone simple.

UTILIZATION

Easy grip handle, or end, nor thick, fast, high string action, nice touch, easy access to acute jusqu'ax 20 boxes. You plug it sounds, easy to have the "right" sound.

SOUNDS

Very typical guitar rock n roll, good bass (due to the resonance of the hollow part) of warm and powerful mids and treble slamming. The sound is quite "vintage" year 70s style, perfect for rock. One connects directly the sound is, good power mics with character and soul.

OVERALL OPINION

I have 3 years and have used it in several groups with different styles and different amps: a great playability, (4-hour repeated without pain), despite the ever typed amp (laney lionheart, hughes Ketner and duotone, and vox AC15 Orange Tiny Terror on ppc 212), his soul and the sound really stands out very little, however typed marry a lot of style. The vintage look attracted me in the store but the name brand (almost unknown in France) I was cool. Once reassured by the seller and 1 hour test I purchased on the field: it sounds to hell, right now, rock n roll! The price is reasonable and that plusque at that price was the one who throws Grat and character. Very good value for money and I would do without this choice hesitate
