« SX Les Paul Junior Special »
Published on 07/03/03 at 15:00I bought this off of E-Bay (Rondo Music)because I like fixing up cheap but decent guitars. This is a copy fo a Les Paul Junior Special with 2 P-90s and a set neck. I paid $140.
The cheap Chinese P-90's sound AMAIZING! After leveling the frets and filing the nut, this has become a sweet little ax. I ahd been looking at gig bags for it, but it deserves a case.
This thing weighs a TON. Almost too heavy. The frets needed dressing and the nut was way to high, but remember, it was $140.
This is a set neck copy of a Les Paul Junior Special with 2 execellent P-90 pickupsand a Tune-O-Matic copy bridge. It is made from some kind of unknown hardwood with a dark stain and a very shinny finish. Good copy tuners.
I was going to give this to one of my kids. However, after some work, I have given away a home built Telecaster instead. I'm going to excavate some chambers in the body to lighten it and use it as a preformance guitar.
