In the tradition GIBSON with some innovations of size (weight should I say!)

Table in Saddle flame ... Honey Burst, my favorite color ...

All that is important:

- The pickups, the '57 Classic and '57 Classic Plus for Antique instead of the couple 496R 500T for the classic simple. Ancient offers the true sound of PAF SERIES!

- The table Saddle flame AA sculpts beautiful!

- Small dtails that kill: the inlays are white instead of being yellow as the classic single (the ugly yellow parat lot (including me) but you get used when playing any ), binding the head with his white Gibson and registration of all beauty ... And TOC historic holly leaf

The Classic Antique is a little vintage new line without going to the custom shop price (well. ..). The sound is much more vintage than the classic single, 496R and 500T o make a work of thunder to give you the power and sounds actually quite modern, while the old, equally excellent, Vintage is more type.

With the Antique, we are in the legends.

It has no cover PAF and luxury small dtails mentioned earlier (holly leaf aaaah ...).

OVERALL OPINION

The guitars of all brands, I had (Fender - stratssss, tlsss, Gretsh, Godin artisan and even the Ibanez in my PERIOD shreed there ten years. ..)

But with this Gibson, I reached the top in every respect!

But, I'm all in a mag prs from home and I saw the Classic Antique Honey Burst (this is my favorite color as the wicker covers and the back of my Taylor 612C)

She silent beautiful and what was my surprise when I grip: no heavier than my strat favorite!

FINALLY, I understood PASSION LES PAUL!

Once plugged into my Tech21 Trademark 60, I can spend much of Gary Moore's full and rich in harmonics ("Still Got The Blues", "Parisienne Walkways" than clapton (Cream! !!!!), Knopfler on "Brothers In Arms" With the Crunch mini, I have the sound of the solo The Wall ...

The clean sounds are rich and prcis and when I play the intro to Knocking on Heavens Doors Live version G'N R, one would think ...

I do not even talk about "Stairway To Heaven" or "Since I've Been Loving You" ... a real rgal!

Ms. Little Wing sounds better than my strats fuller, richer!

In short, I who in silent electric infidle (since my Taylor, I do not touch no other sound except for the live o I play my Ovation double neck!) I am discovering a Fidler flawless for my Gibson ...

And I understand better their pub "to hear sound is not like the feel vibrating in your body"!

This guitar is the most versatile I possde, really!

The best electric guitar in my life, my dernire probably ... My first crdit for a guitar but it was worth it to do ...

I found my sound, my guitar, electric ... Finally!

The Classic Antique is really not that much different from a Standard or any other regular production model Gibson. The top is slightly figured, and it has uncovered 57 Classics. Aside from that, it's pretty much your standard Gibson. The guitar features a mahogany body with a maple top, mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets, trapezoid inlays, pickguard, binding, hard tail bridge, two humbuckers, two volumes, two tones and a three way switch.


UTILIZATION

They're generally solid flames, but I've seen PRS and other guitars with better ones. Even Jackson can have more intricate flames. Then again, it all depends on what you're going for. The nut on this was cut properly, and I had no issues with tuning. The frets were dead on, and the edges felt great. I really dug how this guitar played, and it had a nearly perfect weight, weighing somewhere around 8 to 9 lbs.

SOUNDS

The guitar sounds pretty good, but they're stock Gibson pickups. I'm not totally crazy about these. The sound average, in my opinion. The bridge is medium output, and it sounds fat. However, it doesn't overdrive the amp like I like my pickups to. The neck is a bit too bright for my tastes, but you can calm it down with the tone pot. The coolest thing is the coil split feature. This allows you to split the pickups to get that almost single coil sound. It makes this guitar crazy versatile.

OVERALL OPINION

These are good guitars if you're looking for something that's high quality and affordable. I tend to really like the Classic series in terms of value per dollar, but they can be a bit iffy. I recommend you play a few and see how you like them as not everybody enjoys these for whatever reason. I never understood why, but some are super picky about real small things.

UTILIZATION

-The handle is nice but nothing to do with my Charvel.
-Ergonomics is poor, you can quickly have a sore chest or abdomen because of body shape if you play for long.
-Access is drenier freight is quite good.

SOUNDS

I-cheek funk, so it should not really do like that style of music, I bought parcque I am a collector and she was very beautiful.
-The sound is fat, too fat to play like that style. It is a hard-rock guitar. A top for his solos with saturation but not for rhythmic funk.

Oh hey guys at Gibson, anyway you should know that Les Paul did not hold if there is not a "strap-lock" for the belt, especially near the attachment of the handle, for the price Vouzas sell your guitar, it would at least ask?!
-As I said, yes I probably still would buy Les Paul for my collection, but not necessarily to play live, not really for my style of music.
