Gibson 1956 Les Paul Goldtop VOS

Gibson Les Paul guitar is the streaming versatile guitar and one of the most iconic guitars in existence. It has a distinct book an absolute phenomenal tone. It features mahogany wood in the body and in the neck as well as a rosewood fretboard. It comes with two humbucker pick ups two tone control knobs and two volume control knobs. It also features and pick up selector that allows you to pick each individual humbucker pick up and also the position in between the two pickups. Overall he just get the great sound and a beefy sound if you play hard rock or metal music.

SOUNDS

I am absolutely love the tone of his guitar in every way. For me its not better for hard rock setting and especially with Marshall amplifier than it does with a Gibson Les Paul guitar. It has a great feeling and a great thick warm tone that mixes very well and a hard rock or metal situation. That is why so many players to play aggressively for the years have look to this guitar for their main instrument needs. If you use this guitar with a high gain amplifier be ready to crank out some great rock 'n roll tones. If you put his guitar with the clean amplifier you will lack a little bit in the sparkling shiny clean tones. Since it has wto humbucker pickups and a pretty thick wood body you're not getting get those chimey clean tones as you would with a Fender Stratocaster telecaster that features alter or ash wood. It's been a really picking up the tone and a clean tones are not to come off that brilliant and sparkling.

OVERALL OPINION


I highly recommend this guitar to anyone is looking for a great recording guitar or great gig in guitar. It's an extremely versatile guitar for anyone he needs an all around good instrument. He can do just about anything for anybody and pretty much get away with it especially playing in a digging situation. In a recording situation this is getting get you great hiking hard rock tones and even metal tones. It's great dropped tuning which is a highlight that Fender guitars really aren't able to do unless you're playing a Charvel guitar. Overall this is a great instrument and a highly recommended guitar for anyone needing a promising and amazing instrument.

The goldtop is what is probably most synonymous with Gibson. This is basically Gibson's equivalent to the two tone sunburst that the Fender Stratocaster has been known for. It's iconic in every single way, even to this day. The guitar features a mahogany body with a maple top, mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets, trapezoid inlays, pickguard, binding, hard tail bridge, two P90s, two volumes, two tones and a three way switch.

UTILIZATION

The gold top models are probably my favorite looking ones. They just have this awesome sparkle that's signifies you're playing a Gibson guitar. The inlay work on this was done nicely. There were no fillers or anything like that in there like I've found in some lower end Gibsons. The nut itself was cut properly, although the string gauge that was put on this guitar was wrong. Someone put 11s on it, and they were a touch too big for the nut on the bass side. The fretwork itself seemed to be great with no annoying edges slicing your hand or uncrowned frets.

SOUNDS

The guitar just oozed with tone. The P90s are sort of like a single coil that's thickened up a bit and doesn't have that stringy treble tone going on. The bridge pickup had this real cool aggression going on, but it wasn't that over the top aggression that higher output pickups have. It was a controlled aggression that works just enough to sound pissed off without being overly hot like a JB or something. The neck pickup had a great woody tone that was to die for. I love that P90 neck pickup tone and really wish more guitars had a P90 in the neck for those great blues lines.

OVERALL OPINION

The goldtop finish on this is easily my favorite finish. It just sparkles and really stands out on a dark stage. While I'm mostly a metal player, I like to get my blues playing on from time to time. If I had to take a single P90 guitar, it would be this one, without a doubt. It was just simply killer.

Made in the United States, the 56 Goldtop Reissue has two P90 (warning some versions have 80 years of P100, and a paint finish over silver). The bridge is an ABR, Tune O Matic, one volume and one tone with microphone, 3 position switch, just short of the very usual. The handle of the R56 is a big stick, characteristic of the LP era, but it is surprisingly very nice I think even for the fan that I am also telecast. As against a try as shredders for it is far from Ibanez sleeves ... The finishes are superb and the color "Antique Gold" is beautiful, but it is an instrument of the Custom Shop, then mount by hand and special care of finishes and settings. A dream after all.

UTILIZATION

I love the handle though the first few minutes it is somewhat surprising, it seems to get down to baseball ... printing becomes positive, and treble are very accessible. This guitar is very versatile because the P90 are less aggressive than the PAF, I was looking for. So you can either play on the neck pickup with the roundness and the specific heat of P90, the intermediate position is ... middle on the bridge pickup is more aggressive and biting and snapping. Connected to a tube amp, we enjoy, whether in light or strong crunches, as distorted sounds. Even this is enough of a guitar rock, blues, you can get beautiful clean tones.

SOUNDS

For what I play this guitar is perfect, but it complements a Telecaster and a Gretsch, still I find it quite versatile. I just love the sound I take a real pleasure to use with no effect, and this is the first time this has happened with a guitar ... This sound hypnotizes me

OVERALL OPINION

I use it recently, the only thing is that I blame him sitting playing the body is heavy it has a slight tendency to a small imbalance (yes it is minor ...).

The value for money?? Forget the price!! you will always be quality ...

I actually handle a little confusing, this is my first LP, I feel like a baseball bat in the hands, but it does not affect the game, even for the uninitiated s like me at the beginning, the handling is very fast!

The sound with the P90 is just fantastic! It did not totally obvious to the store, but once home to a sound I know Wow! I really understood the! Heat a gogo, a grain of egg ...
Small flat for sounds like "big metal", although I'm not too FOUIN of the cot again, I think it is not optimized for, but what is the fool who would buy this wonder to play like a nag? that's just what I wanted to avoid, I'm happy!

But besides that, you branch it sounds! And not only half!

Right now I'm in a register fully Classic / British Rock so it's only happiness ... Clean the overdrive has the big is beautiful! I would spend hours and hours listening to ... I do have a big preference (can be personal) for the crunch!

I'm using a Marshall JCM 2000, with 1960 corresponding baffle, but suddenly I think I will soon throw a glance over the cot things vintage ... Go, an old Hiwatt're crazy!

OVERALL OPINION

I've had three days and I still discovering each time that I took!

I try a few things, including other LP Custom has some friends, for me it still has a little more, its already P90, its handle and it look unique! It may well be an LP as we see thousands (What turns me off a little early, because I was looking for something original) that it still has its eccentricity to my taste anyway!
