Attention, mine is not a limited series in the 90 outputs so no mid boost by switch, not the same microphones, not the same finish etc. ...


UTILIZATION

In the 90's version, the handle is a '58. There he is bigger, a true buche, not easy to play. This is not a handle biensur shredder, it personally does not bother me.
I did not understand the history of the "long post", the sustain is not materially different from any other Les Paul.
The guitar is balanced and light for a Les Paul, the first surprise.
The flamed maple is not as impressive as this. It's ok but not as great as on the website photos of Gibson.
The next vintage with the old hardware does not do much, it being minimal (anyway I do not like this way.
The finish is good but he must love color, "green tiger" is rather yellow piss.
And finally, this look baroque / glam-rock is in the image of the designer (heu. .. rather its inspiration, the real designers being the wife of Joe Perry and the custom shop). With a bandana in the pocket, jeans with holes, a loose open, jewelry, on stage it's very rock'n'roll!
Despite a slightly twelfth box frieze (the guitar has not yet been set), we feel it is a custom unlike other productions Gibson 2000s (see my opinion on the custom correctly).


SOUNDS

It can be used for many styles but it is really made for blues, rock and hard rock.
In blues, Burstbucker easel is aggressive, slightly acidic, definitely The Paulien.
In rock is sharp, perfect.
Burstbucker the stick is round, just as The Paulien, nothing to say.
How does it differs from a Les Paul Classic? In fact the neck pickup has reversed polarity, so, when you are in an intermediate position, the mids and highs are boosted. It's the sound of Peter Green and Gary Moore's biggest fan. Clearly it's super funky (surprising for a guitar for the rock). With distortion, it sounds like a wah wah open and I adore.
On stage with high volume it should be understood a little more when in fact it loses definition, but at home is really addictive.
To give an idea, it brings to mind the sound of Slash on the riff and the solo of "locomotive", then I + Slash Joe Perry, obviously adore.
The disadvantage is that it limits the versatility and that he must forget the clean sound strumming accompaniment or solos country.

OVERALL OPINION

Believer in good business, I had spotted at a stocking. I bought new for less than 1900 euros (3600 She was worth at that time, 5600 years ago) with the certificate, the store warranty, invoice and everything.

I did not really need, I have 11 good guitars (from 350 to 5000 euros) and I had a Les Paul Custom that I thought possibly rid myself (see my review)
Finally I kept both, they complement each other well, the Custom is much more interesting in the light (for jazz ...) and for its versatility while Joe Perry is closer in the spirit of standard really made for rock.
He was a compulsive purchase of rrrien rrrrien but noooo, Noooooo, I do not rregrrrette.
This guitar is a nice surprise, I invite you to read different opinions on the internet, you'll see they all converge on this point. Even the "bored" are satisfied.
