SlapKid « Great guitar, a bit expensive but good for the korea »
Published on 09/21/12 at 13:48I've had it about a month, I think this is a variation of the model 245 with the same hardware and pickups.
Set neck, large and C-shaped profile, 22 frets medium width, color is less red than the pictures, the better it is rather a beautiful tobacco sunburst.
Table archtop reported but not much more than a flat epi lp standard.
Mechanical vintage, once the strings in place, it is lapped agreement rather well.
The tailpiece / bridge is beautifully done, it's clear that it's a nice piece in the right palm ... Not too embarrassing, I would just as Favorite 2 large screws are imbued because the slot is a little sharp anyway.
Impeccable accuracy, d'addario strings of origin, perfect action, know work there ... (built by world musical instruments co ltd korea)
UTILIZATION
Well, do not be allergic to the disposition paul (pre-selector and volume misplaced selector) like me ... I installed according to my preferences, or switch between the two buttons (one master volume and one for the microphone splitter serious) and it is now a perfect fit.
The pickups are not original and split but it is easy to do if you do not even ten inches ... they are not hooded and in practice only the grave gives relevant results split.
These pickups have a nice definition, the dog, the bass is beaded to perfection, it is far from the classic epiphone up (not bad but softer and less defined, more smokey jazz actually). Anyway here are made of rock and solo, bernie anything.
SOUNDS
To empty the guitar sounds great, and this flashy, with body and some heat, and strong. Which is found on well connected.
I was surprised by the dog and the definition, in fact my Gigi worn brown les paul do better.
So I had absolutely serious microphone splitter and I recommend manipulation possibilities multiply both brilliantly.
Personalized with microphones as bright I would not put too much gain on the amp all comes together. With a clean amp behringer wd300 warp and it is a treat no one stops more, this pedal extremely well mastery treble.
In crunch, clean, rock, solo is Christmas and I understand that this guitar bernie himself this stock on the net, it is really good.
OVERALL OPINION
The total with my two mods, zero additional cost all round, electronic design aesthetic is all good.
And it's a signature model.
Does suggest that prevents more expensive than a les paul studio faded Gigi is overkill for the korea, a marketing perspective / prestige / resale value.
But hey, to you find the right plan huh
