Wilkinson is a synonym for high quality... Average manufacturing quality but you get a set neck at a very affordable price! No complaints...

UTILIZATION

Quite comfortable neck with a very smooth and fast varnish (it doesn't get sticky like the neck of my Gibson Nighthawk!!).

Access to the upper frets is like on a Gibson!! It's a matter of taste!

SOUNDS

I play it with an all-tube Mesa Boogie and I get lots of sounds for 70's blues/rock... I luv it!

Regarding the Wilkinson P90 pickups (in fact P100 models), I made a very simple modification: since they can be split (five wires), I replaced both original volume...…

SOUNDS

I play it with an all-tube Mesa Boogie and I get lots of sounds for 70's blues/rock... I luv it!

Regarding the Wilkinson P90 pickups (in fact P100 models), I made a very simple modification: since they can be split (five wires), I replaced both original volume controls with two 500-kohm push/pull potentiometers...

Thanks to this modification (which doesn't damage the guitar) I can now use the pickups either as humbuckers or single coils.

The neck pickup sounds much nicer as single coil than humbucker for clean sounds!

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using this guitar for one month and it's a great instrument considering the price!

Based on my experience I wouldn't hesitate to buy it!!

Very nice-looking guitar, good manufacturing quality I only noticed a few small imperfections in the pickups cavities but nothing too serious. Perfect fretting.

But the fingerboard inlays could be better and they show some glue marks.

Very nice-looking guitar, good manufacturing quality I only noticed a few small imperfections in the pickups cavities but nothing too serious. Perfect fretting.

But the fingerboard inlays could be better and they show some glue marks.

UTILIZATION

Very pleasant neck. Good action.

Very easy access to the upper frets.

Quite light. Unlike a Gibson!

The guitar has been well adjusted... no fret noise and you immediately get a good sound.

The original string set is a 10-46.

SOUNDS

The Wilkinson hardware is good and the guitar stays in tune. But I replaced the string set with a 11-48 so that the guitar stays better in tune. With the original 10-46, the tuning stability wasn't perfect and the strings were too dull for my taste.

The pickups are not real P90 but a stacked version... in other words P100. They have less dynamics and punch than the real P90.

I play mainly blues and jazz-funk. The sound is very good for both.

The clean sound is very good. The bridge pickup sounds quite round and biting at the same time. I rarely use the bridge pickup for clean sounds. The combination of both pickups provides a powerful single coil tone. Very nice in clean mode.

The crunch sound is powerful. The guitar has a strong playing response. You can easily get a fat crunch sound with adequate amp settings.

The distortion sound is just huge.

Regarding the controls, the sound becomes slightly dark when you decrease the volume... a small modification would be interesting.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had this guitar for over one month. The value for money is impressive. Of course some finish details (inlays, paint around the pickup cavities) should be improved but they are only small details and the sound is great!

I tested this guitar together with the Peter Green model, which is also very nice but the sound of the GT seduced me.

Don't hesitate to buy it considering its price... This guitar is a nice instrument for both beginners and experienced players. It would've been great to learn guitar with such an instrument!

Summary:

Pros:

- Value for money

- Manufacturing quality

Cons:

- Finish details

- Controls' response

- No real P90 pickups

I finally replaced the original pickups with real Lollar P90 and the original controls with CTS pots. The sound changed a lot. It's much wilder and has greater dynamics. I can get now lots of different sounds.

I recommend you to make this upgrade!

- Guitar made in Asia (Korea I think).
- Microphones "P90" Wilkinson (actually P100)
- Type bridge tune-o-matic
- Hardware gibson LP classic type, brand Wilkinson
- Set neck
- Gold Top Finish

Aesthetically beautiful and pretty neat. A couple of minor smudges in micro cavities but nothing horrible. The frets are nickel and do not exceed.
The key inlays are against stripped ... there are traces of glue.

UTILIZATION

At the handle grip is very nice ... we do not feel like a log between your fingers. The action is very well regulated.
Access to acute is very easy.

UTILIZATION

At the handle grip is very nice ... we do not feel like a log between your fingers. The action is very well regulated.
Access to acute is very easy.
Weight level is quite soft. We are far from Gibson!
Otherwise the guitar seems set ... frisette not on the horizon and it sounds good from that branch.
Clearly delivered in 10-46.

SOUNDS

Wilkinson is the hardware level ... ca holds the road well (and especially the agreement). However, I move on to the 11-48 to improve the maintenance agreement. In 10-46 it was limited and a bit too soft for my taste.

You should also remember that these are not real ... P90 P90 they are "stacked" ... ie P100. This is a less dynamic and couillu P90

I play mostly blues and jazz-funk right now. It is well suited to both styles.
It sounds very well clean. The neck pickup is quite round but keeps a lot of bite. I rarely use the bridge pickup to clean. The combination of the two pickups gives a very "single coil supercharged" and I think it's been in effect clean.
In severe crunch sends ca. It's pretty responsive to the game can easily switch from one to clean a big crunch through a good setting on the amp.
In distortion is simply enormous.

Side knobs was a slight darkening when we decrease the volume ... can be an interesting upgrade from that side.

OVERALL OPINION

I have this guitar for a little over a month. I was really amazed by the quality / price ratio. Certainly there are some finishing details (inlays, paint around the micro cavities) that are poor but it is minimal and the sound is there!
I tried this model and the Peter Green ... it is very nice but I was also attracted by the sound of the GT.
For such prices do not hesitate ... whether you are a beginner or experienced this guitar is working. I really liked the guitar to begin with such models!

To summarize:
the most:
- Quality / price ratio
- Violin

Cons:
- Finishing (small)
- No knobs super exploitable
- No real P90

I finally upgraded the pickups Lollar P90 for real knobs and the CTS. It changes from completely. Damn wilder and knobs allow dynamic and a lot of variety in sounds.
Upgrade recommended!

Finishing not evil but there are small imperfections in the "Gold Top" that makes all its charm

For a guitar that came back to the Final for less than 200 € is really small

It sounds great to Empty a small moment of happiness

SOUNDS

OVERALL OPINION

The Value Price boggles the mind a Copy "Les Paul" From Fire

I wanted to find me a guitar "Les Paul" Gold Top Finish

So I started looking for a copy or a Real Good Quality for a reasonable price (yes again)

I searched for Epiphone, not Available Not Found
I looked for Gibson not available and Found Hors More Awards
I tried Hammer Gold Top, Very Good but Not the Beauty "Les Paul"
I tried copying "Les Paul" Good and Less Good but Not the Gold Top Finish

Finally searched the net I found this Vintage V100GT

I am ordered after the Multe Hesitation in effect in January 2008
Vintage Guitars was not easily discoverable (Ebay Store in Germany)
So I Ordered on English Channel (after peeling all Forum Site Reliability)
More Order a guitar without trying it's not top it do not know what happens

That Dances After countless long enough for you not imposed

The Vintage V100GT finally arrived and The Miracle a PURE TUERIE

Since I had the chance to try the Epiphone GT 56 'and mine is a step up without Lying

With this experience I would do without hesitation Choice Eyes Closed

Despite concerns related to transport, the Times and the Euro Exchange Rate and Monnais of roast beef, ect ........
