Zoom will present next week at NAMM the iQ5 microphone equipped with a Lightning connector for the latest iPhones, iPod Touch and iPads.
The Zoom iQ5 will only be compatible with the iOS 6 and posterior. The capsule installed on a rectangular box with built-in controls, is inserted into a rotating “ball” for horizontal or vertical use.
You will be able to choose the capture angle between 90° and 120°, and Zoom announces a 16-bit / 44.1 uncompressed audio resolution.
The price announced by the manufacturer will be around $100. More information will be online soon. Discover the mic in this video shot at CES 2013:
