good mic for recording electric bass

hi there I'm looking for a pretty decent mic for recording bass guitar, would a shure sm57 do the job?

I have used an SM47 on electric guitar before and it was rather successful, will it show the same for bass guiatr?

i use an sm57 combined with an akg d112. the shure gives a bright touch, while the akg gets all the bass part, resulting in a very convincing bass.
