Softube will introduce in a few minutes at Musikmesse the new Console 1 audio mixing solution which combines hardware and software.
The Softube Console 1 offers a complete mixing solution for use will all the major DAWs. The software part includes the emulation of a famous British console, named UK 4k, with several additions. You will get your hands on a 4-band EQ, a compressor, a saturation and the Softube Dynamic Shape expander/gate and transient shaper. It is also possible to customize the mixer with any Softube equalizer and compressor in the software mix channel, and Softube already announces that new channel strip emulations will be available in the future. The software inserts in any channel (or all the channels) of the DAW.
The USB-powered hardware module provides all the control functions for the effect parameters ; it also allows for switching channels and vues, loading new plug-ins in the mix chain, group channels and more. LED meters and rings around the knobs provide a full visual feedback directly from the hardware.
The Softube Console 1 system will be available this summer, its price has not been announced. You’ll find more information at www.softube.com.
